PERSONALITY: Dallas oozes with charisma and confidence, and he’s the type of guy who can win strangers over in a matter of seconds, wrap them around his finger in minutes. He’s a bit of a practical joker, prone to being a little bit lackadaisical at times when he should probably take like a little bit more seriously. He’s outgoing, the type of guy who will be the life and soul of a party and who is friendly enough to befriend just about anyone out there. He’s talented and extremely musical, but there’s more to him that’s simply been forgotten about since the launch of his music career. He doesn’t have much of a temper since he’s far too laidback to let anything bother him most of the time, but should anyone threaten his sisters or anyone he cares about, Dallas is quick to throw the first punch and make sure that no one harms the people he cares about. He’s a serial dater, a flirt who will turn on the charm for just about anyone who manages to turn his head. Dallas is scared of falling in love, more specifically getting hurt, but because of that his reputation is a little less than pleasant. He likes the comfort of having a partner, but fears the heartbreak of the commitment which is why he dates around so much, blaming his schedule when things ultimately fail. He’s a little bit cynical in the feeling department, with no room for idealistic romances or fairy tale endings.MOTHER: Harriet Marie Thomas, 49.

HISTORY: Harriet and Uriel never wanted much out of life. They never had much to begin with and so their wishes for the future were relatively simple. They wanted to be happy, to have a family, and to find some comfort in their lives that everything would be alright. Both of them came from poorer homes, had been through a lot during their own childhoods, but they didn’t want that for their own children. They didn’t live any grand life. Harriet was a cleaner and Uriel worked in a diner. Their home was small, but their love was great. Dallas was their firstborn child, and their only son. They had two daughters in the years that followed and then their family was complete.
From the youngest of ages, Dallas was musical. He’d sing along to songs on the radio or the CDs his mother would play whenever she was at home. He started playing guitar when he was able to hold the instrument and that was it. He had to be pried away from his guitar and his music for school, homework and just about everything else. At school he was a bit of a joker. He loved science, but that was about the only subject he really did enjoy besides music. He got into his fair share of trouble during his school years for goofing off and skipping class, but Dallas could scrape through decent enough grades. He wasn’t the smartest kid in the family, but there were kids in his class who did significantly worse than he did. All Dallas truly cared about was his music and that didn’t change as he got any older.
There was no denying his talent either. He was good. Throughout his life he took part in local talent shows and competitions, frequently winning them. When Dallas was a teenager he started writing his own songs and music. He was seventeen when his sister Katelyn suggested he enter a music competition that had been promoted on the radio. Dallas had shrugged the idea off at first, but his sister nagged him and signed him up before he could stop her. It wasn’t quite like the reality TV shows of today, but the result was the same for the winner; a record deal and a nice lump of money. It was televised, but on a much smaller scale to the shows of today. There were rounds, but only about two hundred auditions to start with. Dallas didn’t think he would stand a chance against those people who were older, more experienced than he was. He was just an amateur kid with a guitar and a love for music. Somehow people seemed to like that. Those who were in charge, who had a say in what happened seemed to like his cheeky personality, his passion for the music. He made it through when others did not. Soon it was down to him and three others and he couldn’t believe it was actually happening. What shocked him even more was the fact that he actually won the whole thing.
After that, his life changed dramatically. The recording deal led to an album of his own work and that led to interviews, photo shoots, TV shows, award shows, performances, and then he got to support one of his favourite bands on their tour. He was a success, bigger than he thought he would ever be and it was amazing. The money he earned helped the family buy a bigger house and he put a large chunk of it into savings. The fame didn’t go to his head, since his family wouldn’t allow it. They kept him grounded and made sure he finished his high school education before he ran off around the country.
Everything was set. He began work on his second album, planned his own tour and everything seemed to take off. It was his life from then on. Travelling the country was how he spent most of the year, away from home and seeing just about everything he never thought he’d see. He went home for the holidays, worked as hard as he could and partied just as much since that was sort of part and parcel of his career now.
When Dallas was twenty-one he bought an apartment in New York City to call his own, since that was where the record company and most of his work seemed to be based. Since then not much has changed. He works on his music, parties, travels, and lives the life most people seem to expect from him. His family are around to keep him grounded when they think he’s getting too big for his boots. There’s still so much he wants to do, so much he’d capable of, but he’d held back by his own fears at times.
