SECRETS: Keela wishes she could go to college, but with raising Julia on her own and working, she thinks she doesn't have the time to do so.
PERSONALITY:
Keela can be quite stubborn. She hates being told what to do, and tend to do things on her own, even when she know she shouldn't. It's also hard to change her opinion about something. With that being said, she’s also independent. She doesn't mind being on her own or doing stuff on her own. However, she’s also very loyal to her closest friends. When she’s friends with someone they can be sure they will have a shoulder to cry on, or someone to tell their great news to. She hates seeing her friends upset, so she tries to always be there for them.
Another thing to know about Keela is she’s shy and quiet. She tends not to talk to people first, they usually have to talk to her first before she'll say anything. There are times when she'll talk first, but there has to be a good reason for it, like a child or animal is in danger. There are times when she has loud and crazy moments, who doesn't, but they only happen when she’s alone or with people she trusts.
It does take a while to earn her trust, and it's also easy to lose it. The last thing to know about Keela is she’s a bit artistic. She loves singing and writing. However, while she’s willingly to share her stories, she won't share the fact that she can sing. She doesn't know why, really. She guess singing is just more personal. Also, she loves writing songs, short stories, and novels.MOTHER: Julie Hylls, dead

HISTORY:
Julie and Tom grow up together, but they were never friends. They knew each other and talked to each other, but only because their parents were friends. It wasn't until they started Jr. high that they slowly began becoming friends. And through they started having feeling for each other, it wasn't until senior year that they started dating. Never in a million years did they think they would end up together, but they did, and when they were only 20, they got married. Two years later, on July 15, 1991, Keela Lynn Hylls was born.
Keela had a great childhood; though her parents weren't rich, the Hylls family had everything that money couldn't buy. Keela was sure her life was perfect, and nothing could ruin it. She was wrong. One cold, snowy night, when she was seven, Keela and her parents were driving home from a Christmas party. The roads were icy and they could hardly see out the windows. Keela remembers her parents saying something about whether they should have just stayed at their friends' for the night. Then out of no where there came a yellow light, and the last thing Keela remembers is screaming, pain, and then nothing. The Hylls family had been in a crash with a drunk driver, and sadly Keela was the only one who survived. Her parents and the driver of the truck die. Keela was, however, in a coma for three weeks. When she did wake up, everything was weird and different for her. When she asked about her mom and dad, the look on the doctor's face told her, her parents were dead.
Children Aid tried to find family members that Keela could stay with. However, Julie was an only child and her parents had been dead for a few years. And while Tom did have a sister, she was a single mom with three kids and couldn't take Keela in. Also his parents were in an old folks home. While Keela was upset, she tried her hardest to remember the good times she had with her parents. And at first it felt like an adventure. And for the first four foster home and six months, it was. It help that the people she stayed with were nice. She also got along with the other kids.
However, as her eighth birthday, and first birthday without her parents, neared reality seemed to kick in, and she realized this wasn't an adventure, her parents weren't coming back. She withdraw from everyone. What was the point of getting close to people when they were just be taken away from you soon after? This went on until she was sixteen.
She was sent to yet another foster home, but at this one there was a boy, Austin, about the same age as Keela. Anyways, as days turned into weeks, Keela and Austin grew closer. And soon, they were good friends. Then, a few months later in March, they were home alone, and one thing lend to another and they ended up having sex. It was Keela’s first time, and though she were play the events in her head over and over again, she didn't think anything were come from it.
A few weeks later, she realized she hadn't had her period in a while, and brought a pregnancy test. She was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin Austin's life with a child, Keela told her foster mother, begging her not to tell anyone. It was only a few months until Keela's eighteenth birthday and her plan was to leave the day after my birthday. Even though her foster mom didn't approve of this, she still respected Keela's wishes, and helped her save up some money.
So, on July 16, a day after Keela's eighteenth birthday, she left her foster home. For the next few months, Keela traveled around, trying to find a place to stay. Finally she decided on New York. On December 10, 2009, she gave birth to her daughter, Julia Abigail Hylls. Shortly after she got a job as a waitress at Font Bar. And that's Keela's history so far.

SAMPLE:Sunday. The one day Keela had off from both her jobs. Of other day of the week she had to work at least one of her jobs. Most days she would start her day at eight, getting to work at nine, then after her first waitressing job was over she would head home to spent an hour or two with Julia before heading to her second job. Sometimes she didn't even get that hour or two to spent with Julia, she would have to head straight to her second job. It was hard, but she was was managing.
But come Sunday, and Keela had the whole day off, getting to do what ever she liked. She had promised Julia they could go to the park in the afternoon, and at about ten in the morning, Julia was jumpping on Keela's bed, demanding they get ready for the park. No amount of telling her that it was still a bit to early to go put Julia off. She wanted to go, and she wanted to go now!
So, soon Keela find herself up and making a quick, simple breakfast for herself and Julia. Once they would done eating, they got ready to go and Keela packed a bag with some snacks, a few water bottles, a couple of toys and some other things. Soon, the pair would ready to go. They left their apartment around eleven in the morning, Keela pausing only long enough to lock the door behind her.
Some time later, Keela and Julia arrived at the near by park. As soon as Julia saw the park she started bouncing. Keela waited a bit longer before letting Julia take off. As she watched her daughter run to the playground, Keela looked for a bench close to the payground. It took a few minutes, but she soon find one and sat down.
