HOMETOWN: Bancroft, Ontario, Canada 
HISTORY: Life started in the village of Bancroft in Ontario for Geoffrey. Population never seemed to peak more than 4100, maybe 4200 some years. Geoffrey grew up in a cottage just off the lake where most of the cottages were only occupied seasonally, it made for a dull childhood. He spent time with his father who bred German Shorthaired Pointers for bird hunting, particularly duck and goose. Geoff was always particularly fond of hunting season with his father. No matter the season it seemed like tourists always found a reason to come invade. Geoff didn't start to mind until he got older, realising that while they helped the economy in little Bancroft, they didn't exactly respect the nature that surrounded them. People taking down moose, deer, ducks just as trophies where Geoff and his father typically spent the season gathering food.  

When he was of reasonable age, 12 or so, Geoff started working in the Taxidermy shop that his father owned and operated. It attracted those seasonal trophy hunters and Geoff quickly learned to bite his tongue. There was always a lot to do in Bancroft, snowmobiling, hunting, theatre, mining, curling, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, all the outdoorsy type stuff fell into play here and Geoff loved it, mostly. If he went anywhere outside of town, he took the train and avoided the airport at all cost but mostly his favourite things were already in the village. Particularly the Mineral Museum. 

Geoff's Mum, Miranda, left his dad, Griffin when he was 14 ran off to Toronto with some guy called Dakota and his slightly older son, who's name Geoff could never remember but he knew it was stupid. Geoff always kind of resented her for it but every spring and summer Geoff would be forced on the train to Toronto to spend time with that stupid named kid, his mother and that man she took off with.  

Of course, life in such an area where there's not much to do becomes dull and mundane, even the trips to Toronto were predictable. When he was 18, in 2004 he stopped going to Toronto to see his mother, Clifford (who was emotionally and physically a disaster and if he were a dog, he'd have been put down no question) and Dakota. It was 2009 when the skate park opened up in Bancroft and it was 2009 when Geoffrey left the village for New York City, which really wasn't as far a journey as he'd made it out to be. It ended up under 500 miles from home and after about a year there he wished he'd gone further south. Mum came to visit on more occasions than he cared for and Clifford, well Clifford joined the party scene in New York, palled up with some messed up kids and continued to wreck himself. Geoff enrolled in school promptly on his move down there, choosing Biology as his major. Now a junior in the programme he lives quietly in his apartment with his cat Maddox, working full time as management at Font Bar and ready to finish out his degree and move forward with his life.
