HISTORY: When Sainou was born, his parents just felt he'd be destined for greatness, hence his name, meaning "gifted." And they quickly learned they definitely weren't wrong. Sainou was reading by the time he was nearing three, and was showing great improvement in practices after showing interest in the piano. By five, he had been labelled a child prodigy, and henceforth, basically a child star. He was two grades levels ahead, had already performed piano at the Tokyo Dome, and he was given a modelling contract. His fame did not come without a price, however. In school, he was bullied severely by the bigger kids, and at home, he was forced to either study or practice.
His sister was born about a year and half after him, and while they're close, Sainou could never help but feel a bit bad, as their parents were always more focused on his success rather than their daughter. Recently she admitted to him that while she had a good amount of jealousy directed toward him growing up, she never once hated him, though she couldn't say the same for their parents.
By high school, his stress was beyond compare. Every new performance had to top the last one. He wasn't young anymore, so it wasn't as amazing. He began to have suicidal tendencies, but instead of cutting, he got his first tattoo. He welcomed the pain while at the same time loving the image that appeared under the blood. Coming home with it got him in severe trouble, but he didn't regret it one bit, silently going back to his routine of studying and practicing.
It was at the tender age of 16, though when he was in his last year of high school, that Sainou's mother passed away from heart disease. It became hard for all of them to continue with their normal lives. One night after Sainou admitted to his father he dropped out of school found the two of them arguing in the kitchen. Sainou grabbed a knife and held it to his arm, stating if he kept going as he had been, he'd be dead before graduation. As proof, he sliced down his arm. He ended up in the hospital for a couple days, waking to see his father by his side, holding his hand. His father told him he couldn't stand to lose another family member, and if this was what he wanted, then he'd accept it.
Soon after, his father explained to him and and his sister that he had asked his boss to transfer him to another office. He told them even though he had only planned to be moved to maybe... Tokyo, or Narita, he instead got transferred to New York. It didn't seem to faze the kids much, but in actuality Sainou saw this as an opportunity. He had another chat with his father, explaining even though he still love playing piano, he didn't want to perform it anymore. His father again agreed.
Sainou was nearing eighteen when they moved to New York. Once there, he agreed to finish what schooling he had left, and even took the necessary tests to get into college. The life of a child prodigy behind him, he was able to relax more while still being focused on his grades.
He just graduated from college, and is currently working a simple data processing job in an office. He's trying to work his way up the ladder, but isn't really sure he wants to live in an office for the rest of his life. After getting permission to stop performing, he's begun writing songs of his own, as well as learning guitar, and is much happier now than he used to be. He's also managed to make a couple friends in college, so while his social life isn't flourishing, it's no longer suffering.

SAMPLE:Z finally put his mug down on the table, nodding. An English teacher, huh? "That's interesting." He said simply, "do you... teach high school?" He asked, moving to grab his notebook of poems. Not all of them were his, mind you, some of them were just his favorite poems, scrawled in fun ways to keep him entertained during his lunch breaks (and when he had nothing to do at work). He looked back up to the other man, hiding a shy smile behind the notebook. "I-I'm Z... Uh.. Ji-uk Robertson. But I swear you can just call me Z." He introduced himself.
He winced mentally at himself. Was this really making him that nervous? He clicked his tongue at himself. To get tongue tied over a cute guy wasn't his style, he ran into those often enough. But none of them had approached him without giving him any sort of fear, no menacing look. Instead, this Kevin guy seemed like a really nice guy. And an English teacher was a good person to use for improving his poems. He paused his thoughts for a second, looking at Kevin wide eyed. "But you don't seem like you'd be old enough to have gotten through a four year college and also have a teaching degree?" He tried skeptically, not trying to be insulting, just curious of the other man's age. He could've always been like him, who was put into school at three, therefore now done with college shy of his 21st birthday. Or maybe he was super smart. None of those kinds of people become teachers... do they? He was getting lost in thought again, trying to bring himself back to focus considering how many questions he'd asked.
