There are good sides to this, though, as he is fiercely loyal to those he thinks deserves it. Despite seeming a bit distant as he doesn't speak much, he is quite emotional and most can find the evidence on paper in beautiful writings. HISTORY: Sunny was a young student who decided to study in Korea for college. While learning about her family's culture, she ended up meeting a boy her age. At first unwilling to let him continue courting her, eventually Sunny allowed it, but in the back of her mind, she was sad knowing she'd return home soon. What she didn't expect was to see her boyfriend at her campus the next year. And he explained he had fallen in love and didn't want to lose her. He proposed soon after. They were married a month after they graduated college, and then found a house to move into. About a year passed before they got great news: they were having twins!
Jack was born after his twin brother, younger by five minutes in Seattle, Washington, on a cold, snowy day, hence how he got his middle name, "Seori," meaning "frost." His parents were at first worried he was mute, for reasons not immediately diagnosed, he had never uttered a word. He was nearly five years old when he was diagnosed with a Specific Language Impairment, or SLI. Although he did begin speaking, he still remains relatively quiet in every day life, and while no serious developmental issues became of him, he is shy to speak to strangers.
Other than that, he lived a relatively normal life, or at least he did until tragedy befell the family. It was in mid 2011 the family received the news their father had died after a work accident. Their mother soon after relocated her to their New York office, and the boys found themselves now in a whole new type of big city. Although thankful for the change and relief from memories, Jack still wishes they could've stayed in Seattle longer, mostly to make new memories so it wouldn't become the sad place where he lost his father.
Soon after moving to New York, Jack's mother ended up working on a project with a coworker. Soon after, they began dating, but she didn't immediately tell her sons, let alone was she very willing to mention to her new boyfriend she had two teenage boys. They were dating for a few months before she told her boys, and had them meet her new boyfriend. Jake seemed to take to him, but Jack didn't like him. When he explained to his brother he couldn't understand why they were just replacing their father. Jake tried to insist they weren't, but when their mother announced she was getting remarried and wanted Bryan to move in with them, Jack began lashing out. He'd get in fights at school, and went back to his super silent demeanor.
By the time they welcomed Bryan into the family, the school was threatening to expel Jack. Bryan decided to try talking with him, but it didn't work, resulting in him being grounded for hitting his "new father." It was then, in a fit of rage, he went to a tattoo parlor and got his tattoo. He came home, showing it to Bryan and explaining to Bryan "this is my family, my mother, my father, my hyung (brother), and myself. It will never include you."
The family seemed torn apart until some news made Jack at least begin to change his mind. His mother was pregnant again. Although it was a risky pregnancy, as their mother was now nearing 40, everything worked out great. They welcomed Carrie into the world, and although still at ends with his step-dad, Jack began behaving again for his baby sister.
It's been a couple years since that time, and Jack is looking forward to graduating high school and going off to college. He doesn't want to leave New York unless he gets accepted to a college in Seattle, but he doesn't plan to stay at home. He's learned to act civil with his step-father, but they still don't get along, though Bryan tries.
