HISTORY: On the sixth of March, Lillian Victoria Blanchard was born to Marcus and Ellen Blanchard in New York, New York. The couple had wanted a child ever since they got married. When Ellen found out she was pregnant with Lily, she was ecstatic. The moment Lily came into the world, her parents fell in love with her.
As she grew older, she began to find her own identity. Growing up, Lillian loved to talk and boss people around. Her family and friends all knew she was going to be a handful when she got older. Three years after her birth, Lily's baby sister, Elizabeth, was born. Lillian felt a sense of duty upon becoming a big sister, and watched over Elizabeth like a hawk. Another three years later, her mother had another child, Michael. To try and expose their daughter to the performing arts, her parents invested in piano lessons when she was eight. She hated them with a raging passion at first, but as she got better at the instrument, she grew to love it.
Starting school was difficult Lily. She wasn't used to being in a contained setting, and she had to learn to sit still and be quiet. Academically, she was above the other students. Lily caught onto ideas and concepts a lot faster than most, and her language skills were sky high. During her early childhood, she met and befriended a boy named John who lived in the apartment next to her. They were inseparable, and whenever her younger sister tried to hang out with them, Lily would get annoyed. Everyone joked that one day John and Lily would get married, and he was actually her 'first' kiss.
In high school, Lily's parents sent her away to one of the best private Catholic schools in the city. John also attended school with her, and although the two of them remained close friends, he was much more popular than her. Most of her dedication was in her studies. There was nothing she wanted more than to attend the prestigious Yale University, and she knew that the acceptance rate was very small. Despite the fact she was gifted in English and History, she struggled through her math and science courses. When senior year came around, she anxiously waited for her acceptance/rejection letter for Yale. When she got in, she was in a state of disbelief.
Her college years were spent studying. She was rather socially reclusive. Lily didn't want to distract herself with relationships and lose her scholarships or fail a course. Unlike some of the other students, she couldn't afford to pay to take a class again. She managed to stay in contact with John who had followed in his family's footsteps and attended Harvard. Lily had a few relationships in college, but they never amounted to much. Deep down she always had romantic feelings for John, but she was absolutely terrified exposing those feelings would ruin their friendship. She eventually graduated with a double degree in Political Science and History. She didn't take a break from college, and went right into the Yale School of Law where she earned her JD in a timely fashion.
Now that she was completely finished with college, she set out to become a successful lawyer. She moved back to New York, and took a job working as a corporate defense attorney for a large city firm. She was an excellent lawyer, but she always felt like she got the short end of the stick because she was a woman. That just motivated her more. She became a definite workaholic. Lily hardly let herself have any free time to herself. The few friends she had could see she was slowly self destructing. Her boss could see she was overworking herself, and forced her to take a vacation.Over her break, she ran into a familiar face at the Museum of Natural History. John had an exhibition up. They went out for coffee, and all of her old feelings came flooding back to her. She was in love with her best friend, and she was still torn over telling him. Right before their coffee date ended, she confessed how she truly felt. Sadly, John told her he felt the same way for years, but he had moved on and was now married. Humiliated, she left and never contacted him again. When it was time for her to go back to work, she rejoiced. She stayed with the firm for years and hoped to make partner. But much to her dismay, someone else got the position. A man, who was far less qualified than her.Angry, she quit her job and decided she was done being a lawyer. She sent out her resume to a few universities for a teaching job. NYU contacted her and enthusiastically offered her a position as a professor of law.

SAMPLE:After Rodolphus had rejected her those many years ago she was completely empty inside. Of course, she hadn't been all that surprised to wake up the next morning with him gone, but for some reason her heart had wanted him to stay and love her. Finding out about the pregnancy was not easy for her either, and considering she had Kevin in her life it was far too easy for her to conceal the whole ordeal completely. That didn't stop her from feeling what she felt, and even now staring at him with complete hatred, for a second, she could remember a time when she loved him. A time when he seemed more human than beast.
Ellen could feel the anger Rod felt, but she wasn't afraid of him. Had she been the young Gryffindor girl she was many years ago she'd be completely afraid, but put on a brave front. Now she simply didn't care; Elle had punished and hurt herself so many times it was almost refreshing to have someone other than her conscience beating her up. Actually, after the initial shock of seeing him she felt as if she was in a dreamlike trance. Here they were, two people who knew each other in school seeing each other for the first time in four years. So many emotions were swelling up inside of her that she felt as though her chest would break open. Hate, passion, lust, love, loathing. Feeling them all at once was overwhelming, so overwhelming she was surprised she was still standing. Eventually hatred surfaced as the dominant emotion, and she acted so obviously out of that emotion.
Feeling herself being pushed into her own home by the man she hated more than anything only caused her to loath him even more. The worst part was she couldn't do anything because her wand was upstairs in her room, and physical assaults would not work on someone as strong as Rodolphus. All Ellen could do was steady herself, and prepare herself for whatever abuse he'd use on her. After all, he was clearly here on vendetta; nobody was simply this angry just because, and Rodolphus was not the type to indulge in nostalgia. If he was here for the reason she thought he was here for he would have to do more than bully his way into getting an answer. She was no dummy, telling him that Nate was his son would mean he'd try and kill him. Ellen could not let that happen; she would even go to the grave to keep her son alive.
Her heart was pounding in her chest as he made his reason for barging into her house more than crystal clear. Fire started to burn inside of her chest. This side of her had never been unleashed, and it frightened her a bit. Ellen was far more frightened of herself than she was of the man capable of murdering many. "How dare you," her words were said with such disdain and silent hatred they could practically cut ice. "How dare you come here and invade my life!" Her stance was cautious, ready to dodge him or run if she needed to. "You have no idea what I've gone through, and for you to come in here and break into my house!"
Angrily Ellen walked up to him, not caring what the consequences were, and stared him straight into his eyes. "You want to know the truth?" She repeated back to him mockingly before slapping him across the face. "You'll never know the truth," She was ready to endure what ever it was he was going to throw at her.
