SECRETS: When Xavier was eighteen he was driving the car that struck a man and killed him. Ultimately it was concluded that Xavier was not responsible for the accident since witnesses had seen the man deliberately throw himself in front of the car, and a suicide note had been discovered. Still, for Xavier it was a horrifying experience and he didn't take the wheel again until he was twenty-one.
PERSONALITY: Xavier is the typical privileged rich kid who grew up wanting for nothing. He was always a terrible party guy and even now he still acts like that, reckless and almost arrogant when he's had a few to drink. He's a man of expensive tastes and likes everything to be flashy. He's a little on the lazy side after having everything done for him for most of his life, but Xavier is far from being a bad guy. He was just raised spoilt and it obviously had an effect on him in the long run. Fun loving, Xavier prioritises parties, fun and vacations over everything else right now and he only attends college because his father made him after growing sick of his son just jetting off on one trip after another. He's got a lax approach to life and is firmly in the belief that money will buy his way out of everything. He did calm down after the motor accident, but now he's crawling back to his old self, with the demons of New York calling to him. He's a wild guy who flirts without thinking about it. He's the type of guy who gets bored with something far too easily and often jumps from one thing to another. When it comes to dating he'll flash the cash and treat, but he's never really found himself in a fulfilling relationship and normally he's either dumped for flirting with someone else or he kicks them to the kerb for being boring after a few weeks. There are people who would love to see someone come along to reel him in, but they doubt it'll happen any time soon for Xavier.

HOMETOWN: South Beach, Florida.
HISTORY: Trisha and Derrin both met when they were young and living it up on the Florida party scene. Both of them came from distinguished and wealthy families. Through old traditions and with a big, lavish wedding they became husband and wife. A few more years passed, Derrin took over his late father's estate and business dealings and then Trisha got to announce to her Wednesday book club that she was expecting their first child; a son who would be named Xavier. Despite not conceiving for a few years, they had discussed the idea and settled on names and nursery schemes. The moment the doctor confirmed that they were having a little boy, the wheels were in motion to get everything ready for their son's arrival.
They spared no expense when it came to their first and only child. Xavier grew up never wanting for anything and he was spoilt by not just his parents but their extended families too. They had money, they came from money and Xavier would grow up continuing with that wealth. They had made their money from clever investments, business dealings and old money that still existed with an element of power for the Crawford estate. His childhood was a good one thanks to that money. He went on numerous vacation trips with his parents, attended a private academy school that boasted above average grades for all of its students and he grew up with other children who came from almost identically similar background to Xavier.
When he was a teenager, Xavier was quite the rich kid party boy. He took nothing seriously, didn't care about trashing hotel suites or even part of his own house. There was a lot of underage everything, police frequently breaking up parties and events and there was just a total lack of respect when he was with his friends. They would go on vacation together, crash spring break parties and really act like they owned the world. There was nothing that could slow Xavier or any of his friends down and everything just seemed to be one giant joke to them.
Xavier was eighteen when he was driving through the streets after dropping a girl off back home. It was late morning, he was sober and aware of the road. On one stretch of a quieter street, a man threw himself at Xavier's car, slamming into the hood and then the windscreen. Xavier slammed on the breaks in terror and jumped out of the car to dial 911. The man was unconscious, critically injured and died three days later. Xavier was a wreck and doctors even kept him in hospital for psychological reasons for a two week period while police asked questions. With witness reports and other evidence it was discovered that the deceased man had been trying to kill himself, leaving a note in his sister's house the morning of the accident. Xavier was cleared of any potential charges, but it didn't erase what had happened. For a long time he struggled to sleep without having nightmares about it. He wouldn't get in a car, let alone drive one. The whole party boy image he had once had vanished and Xavier rarely left the family home for anything.
Everyone worried, friends moved on and Xavier was stuck, going nowhere, for a long time. It was only when his mother had a fall down the stairs at home and she needed him to drive her to the hospital that Xavier got behind the wheel of a car again. By then he was twenty-one. After that he slowly began to come back to his old self, bit by bit, but his father refused to let him live some reckless lifestyle under his roof. It had taken twenty-one years for either parent to put their foot down, but it ultimately happened. Xavier was instructed to find a college to attend and to stick with it if he wanted money from his parents and a chance at the future they had promised him. It was Derrin who selected New York, thinking it was far enough away from old bad influences and might be good for Xavier to have a fresh start. He chose the course for his son when Xavier said he didn't have a preference.
Two years on and Xavier is in New York living a life similar to the one his dad wanted him to avoid. They check in on him, make sure his grades are good and that he's not causing too much grief, but they worry that Xavier will never take life seriously at all. And they'd only have themselves to blame for that.
