HISTORY: Born into a rather poor family, Alek's father, Eirik had to work two jobs, one as a whaler, and another as a local musician. His father would be away from home, all day, until very late at night, after he performed at a local pub. Though he never got to see his father much, and his mother was always at home to take care of him, he felt a strong bond with his father. Eirik would teach Alek a bit of guitar, and singing here and there, and eventually, at age 13, he began taking his father's teachings seriously. Everyday, after school, he would come home and sing, or play his father's guitar, and eventually he honed his musical abilities, and perfected his arts. He even scraped enough money together to purchase a drum set, which he taught himself how to play. By age 17, he was looking for a musical career, and by chance, he found band mates. He and his band played many local metal festivals and even took after Eirik, and played at pubs all around the city. In time, he and his band felt they were good enough to send a few demos to some record labels. After waiting months for a response, a record label based in New York contacted them. And so after saying his good-byes, he, his band, and his faithful companion Bjorn headed to New York, chasing their dream of becoming big.
