PERSONALITY:
ATHLETIC Sports have been his life for as long as he can remember and he played Basketball throughout high school. He needs to keep moving, keep active or else he gets frustrated and easily annoyed. He‘s in great shape and works hard to keep it that way. Plus, working out is his way of making up for the partying days that he’s reluctant to let go of.
LOYAL He was in a Fraternity and understands how important this is to a friendship or brotherhood. If someone did him a good deed, then he would be the first to their side if they needed the favour returned. It’s a world of compromise and reasoning and Myles will always be there if people need him, even if he has to sacrifice something to make it work. He’d do almost anything for those he cares about and it’s often how he makes up for partying hard and embarrassing his friends some of the time.
CHARMING Myles has a natural charismatic charm that helps him appeal to everyone he encounters, especially the girls. His popularity in high school was factored on this and throughout his life he has been a man of words who can try to coerce anyone into compromising with his own ideas and suggestions. It often comes in useful for picking up girls in bars or defusing a situation he might find himself caught up in.
CONFIDENT He’s never been the kind of guy to really doubt himself. He knows what he wants, how to get it and it takes a lot to knock him down and keep him down. He’s never been shy when it came to women and he isn’t afraid to make the first move or do something others are reluctant to.
FLIRTATIOUS Myles is the guy who is likely to get punched by someone’s husband. Flirting comes almost naturally to him and the second he sees an attractive women he instantly falls into charmer mode, forgetting that not everyone in New York City is single or interested.
PARTIER He’s still trying to relive those UCLA days and it reflects every weekend. He’s the first one in the bar and the last one to leave, often having to rely on his roommate to carry him home if he’s not managed to pull some fine woman. This is one of the traits that add to his fear of commitment.
ALPHA He’s been a leader his whole life and nothing’s about to change that. He was the popular guy in school, popular in college and even now he feels as though he needs that sense of ‘fans’ around him. He’s the guy who plans the action and expects the others to follow him without asking any questions.
JOKER He’s light hearted pain in the ass. The kind to joke about every situation and not take life all that seriously. In many ways it’s a good thing, but at the same time, it’s easy for others to get frustrated with him when they’re trying to have a serious conversation with him about something. Finding the right balance is pretty difficult, but he does try his best.
CLEVER While he’s not anywhere genius material, Myles did get himself through college on decent grades and found himself a job as a CSI after his move to New York. He’s not quite so obvious about it like his roommate it, but he’s got the brains to think for himself and handle most situations that come his way.MOTHER: Sandra Liza Monroe, 51.
FATHER: Isaac James Graham, deceased.
SIBLINGS: Harvey Joshua Graham, 28
Kaylee Scarlet Graham, 18.
OTHERS: Gabriel Pearce Fitzpatrick; best friend, 25.
PETS: They’re not technically his, but Gabe has; Penny, a ginger tabby cat and a silver Siberian kitten named Rosie. Also a Rough Collie pup named Mufasa!
HOMETOWN: Boston, Massachusetts
HISTORY: The middle son born, Myles’ parents never actually got around to tying the knot. Isaac worked long hours with the Boston Fire Department and Sandra was looking after the children and working as a cleaner for a small business. While family time might have been hard to come by, there was always plenty of love in the home and Harvey took care of Myles as much as he could, taking the young boy under his wing and guiding him through the ups and downs of childhood. It was Harvey who got him interested in sports and as the brothers grew up, they spent more time in the park or on the court, just shooting some hoops, passing the time and honing their skills for school.
His childhood was pretty simple with little to report. He was good in class, a bit of a joker sometimes, but made decent grades from the start and got along with almost everyone. He was a good, well-mannered kid who was definitely off to a good start in life. When Myles was seven, his mom gave birth to his little sister, Kaylee and the family was complete. Things were good for a while, but just before Myles’ tenth birthday there was a phone call in the middle of the night and his mom started crying and just wouldn’t stop. He found out that his dad had died that night during one of the fires in a warehouse when the debris fell, crushing him. He wanted to be a hero just like his dad, but Sandra suddenly became very protective of her children and even with Harvey’s supervision, Myles wasn’t allowed too far from the front door anymore.
Life was pretty miserable for a while after that, but it all picked up when Myles started high school. There was a place on the basketball team for him and he found he had a natural talent for flirting with the girls and getting dates. Puberty did its job and he grew tall, muscles developed from his highly active lifestyle and he finally decided that he wanted to help people and perhaps save lives just like his father had done. He knew his mom would have a heart attack if he became a firefighter or a cop though, so strategically, he planned to go to college and study forensic science to become a CSI.
He was accepted into UCLA. It might have been a long way from home, but Myles wanted to see more than just Massachusetts. California called to him and he eagerly packed up and drove out there with his family to see him off. Being part of a Fraternity had always been part of his plan and the idea of partying Greek Row style was more than enough for the Boston born basketball player. After pledge week had come and gone and all the traditions were out of the way, Myles found himself welcomed into the Pi Kappa Phi fold. The guys were great, the house was great and it was here he met his best friend, Gabriel Fitzpatrick. College was full of games, parties and regrets, but ladies man Myles simply couldn’t settle down with anyone. He wasn’t looking for love, but he feared it too. He didn’t like the idea of a serious life with commitments and responsibilities to someone else. He was scared of messing up, ruining something great and found it a lot better to play to what he was good at; flirting and meeting new women.
After graduation, Myles looked for a job in sunny California, but to no avail. He didn’t really want to return to Boston, keen to branch out on his own for a bit. Eventually, a job came up in New York with the NYPD and he made the move to the Big Apple. His friend, Fallon followed suit a little while later and it wasn’t long before Myles was eager to reunite the three of them to relive the good old college days. A phone call and invitation later and he was sharing an apartment with the scholarly Gabe and every weekend was an excuse to pretend the Frat days were still in full swing.
Things haven’t changed all that much and everything just seems to be going right for the young CSI right now. He has a bachelor lifestyle, a good job that he enjoys and the chance to hang with his best friends whenever he wanted to. What more could a twenty six year old in New York want?!
