HISTORY: Ryan's life was as normal as any child's life could be. She was born in Dallas Texas to a typical Texan family. Trucks, horses, the works. While she loved animals she never really had a feeling for the horses, they were too tall and she was always afraid of heights and worried she would fall. It was a silly fear for someone raised around horses to have, but she had it. She had decent grades in school as a lot of kids did, but of course they got worse as she got older. Her father worked as rancher and her mother did horse racing and shows. When Ryan was nine, her mother gave her a real reason for her horse fear as she was bucked from one during a show. She died later from her injuries. Her father was torn apart, as was Ryan but together the two pulled through. They soon moved from their ranch home and into a smaller place in the city. Her father got a job as a mechanic and Ryan stayed in school just trying to keep her mind to herself. Not having her mother around was hard on her and turned her into a quiet person. Sure they had their issues, they weren't making as much as they had when they worked the ranch but Ryan got a small job working a coffee shop and together they made it work.
Her second year of high school changed a lot though, she was seventeen and he was twenty-seven, and worse yet, her art teacher. It started off as tutoring, he was kind and listened to her and cared. She enjoyed having that connection with someone. She didn't connect with many people, she never had before so she found it a bit difficult, but Oliver made it better in a way. Neither one of them meant for it to go beyond tutoring and a friendship, but sooner than later their time together became more frequent and loving. They would spend almost every day together, finding reasons to be alone. This went on until Ryan graduated, the two had planned to get married and enjoy their life together but it wasn't to be. When they were finally together full time with Ryan being nineteen it still caused issues. Oliver's future was at risk and more. So she did the one thing she hoped would help, she left.
By this time her father had remarried to a sweet woman, and was as happy as he could ever be, so Ryan saw no reason to stay around and cause more trouble for people. She took the money she had saved and moved as far away as she could, landing herself in New York with hopes of filling the only other dream she ever had.

SAMPLE:Ryan woke up earlier than she ever wanted to on a weekend. She usually tried to sleep in later on the weekends, but this wouldn't be one of those days. She sighed, annoyed as she tossed in bed, hoping for more sleep but it just wouldn't come. She struggled out of bed and towards the coffee pot, desperate for something to put her in a better mood. While the beautiful sound of coffee brewing filled the room she dressed for the day. She threw on simple clothes, a pair of jeans and an old tee shirt she loved. It was simple, it had to be, she couldn't handle anything difficult today. Finally she had her coffee and not a moment too late. She stood in the window watching the groups of people pass by going on about their day. She envied them in a sort, having someone near by to spend the day with. Surly these people enjoyed waking up early. She smiled inwardly, how cute... She finished off her coffee and put the cup away, promising herself she'd wash it when she got home. She wanted out.
She made her way outside, avoiding eye contact with every person she passed, it just made life easier. She had a destination in mind and kept to it without stopping. The smells from the street vender carts were tempting but she didn't want to stop, too many people.
Finally, she reached her destination. The book store smelt like coffee, sweets, and the amazingly intoxicating aroma of books. She loved it! She quickly went to the clearance isle. They always put such good books out there. She grabbed a couple, not really paying attention to what they were and took a seat reading to read. Just something to pass the time, and anyway how could a book be boring?
She sat warmly in her seat, with her books put up on the small table in front of her and began to read. This was (in her opinion) the perfect way to spend a Saturday.
