FORREST BEAU STARK
FULL NAME: Forrest Beau Stark.
NICKNAMES: It's either Forrest or Stark. Nothing else.
AGE: Twenty-five.
GENDER: Male.
SEXUALITY: Straight.
STATUS: Single.
GROUP: Citizen.
GRADE: N/A.
MAJOR: N/A.
JOB OCCUPATION: Currently unemployed...sort of...
HAIR: Dark blonde, kept relatively short with a curl in it. He runs wax through it when necessary, but he's hardly vain when it comes to his hair.
EYES: Blue.
SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: He has quite a few from fights over the years, but none are really bad or noticeable.
TATTOOS: There is a panther on his right bicep, feather turning into birds on his left arm and chest, a triangle on his back.
PIERCINGS: None.
PLAY-BY: Joseph Morgan!
LIKES: heavy rock music, thunderstorms, grey shirts, boxing matches, absinthe, poker games, expensive cars, girls falling for him, interesting nights, hanging out in bars, women, the colour red, getting away with something, driving fast, spending time with his daughter, pistachios, chocolate M&ms, cold beer, the night time, working out, rich coffee, motorbikes, boots, cheese burgers, sleeping in.
DISLIKES: crying women, people trying to get the best of him, being set up, jail time, cops, handcuffs, authority figures of any kind, hospitals, feeling anything serious for anyone, not being better for Alysha, the holidays, rich people, snobs, losing a card game, smoke in his face, rum, raspberries, key lime pie, early mornings, people croppin up from his past, being double-crossed, betrayal, clingy women.
FEARS: Falling in love with someone, taking the fall for something massive, his daughter getting caught up in the dark side of his life.
SECRETS: He has a four year old daughter with one of his ex-flings, Lauren. She hates his guts after he did a three year stint in prison and tries to stop Forrest from seeing their little girl. He's a big softie around his daughter, but Lauren knows him for who he really is and doesn't want him to be a part of their lives. However, Forrest keeps all of this a secret so that no one looking for revenge can go to his daughter. If they did...well, he's pretty sure he'd put Liam Neeson to shame...
PERSONALITY: It doesn't take people long to see how cruel Forrest can be. He gets his kicks out of breaking people. Women he'll charm and then break their hearts, and the guys he'll take the thing that's most precious to them, be it the love of his life or someone else close to them. He's got a seductive personality that is perfect for setting people up for a life crushing fall. He's apathetic to pretty much everyone he meets, not really caring about their sob stories or their problems. Forrest lives his life fast and dangerous since it's the only way he knows how. He has a long list of enemies and getting tangled with him can put someone in their cross-hairs. Athletic, Forrest loves the gym, working out and boxing. He's hot-headed and frequently jealous. He gets angry when this happens, usually because someone has life better than him, is bragging about something, or because they're deliberately pressing his buttons. With a need to be the alpha, there is no way people can ignore his passion. Forrest lives for an adrenaline kick and doesn't know when he's crossed a line, usually. Most people see him as an asshole and they'd be pretty much right. He plays that part well. He's a fighter, easily provoked and stubborn. Forrest is also reckless, acting long before he thinks about it, impulsive and quite frequently goes out looking for trouble when he's having a bad day. He could be described as territorial and quite sensitive, but his response to someone hurting him is to fight back physically as much as he can. He's not some smart kid, didn't even finish high school, but Forrest is quick on his feet and practical. While the whole world see the criminal or the jerk, there is a little girl who sees nothing more than a sweet and fun dad. This is reserved for Alysha alone and something he never planned to experience. She is literally the only thing he has going in his life that makes him want to change and be better. Sadly, Forrest is a little too insecure to give up the life he knows best, even if he wants to. He's grown too used to hearing put downs over the years that this persona he has is really the only thing to make him feel powerful and strong. He's not a romantic and he sees picking girls up as a game, stringing them along and kicking them to the curb when he's bored and they're crazy for him. He doesn't care if the girl is single, dating, engaged, married...whatever. He just wants some fun and a bit of a gamble. Plus, sometimes it works to get the girl as a vengeful attack on any guy who's crossed him; be it their little sister, love or whoever. Generally, Forrest is a jerk in the biggest size they come in, but who knows, there might be a chance for redemption...

HISTORY: When Bethany and Elliot met, the last thing they expected was that they'd end up getting married at City Hall in a quick ceremony to appease her parents when they found out Bethany was pregnant. Elliot was a bottom rung factory worker and she worked in a seedy bar serving drinks. It was hardly the life they expected and Bethany hated that she was bringing Forrest into the world only to take him home to a shabby apartment with barely the things they needed to be a proper family.
It was three years later when they finally moved to a slightly better place but still not in the greatest of neighbourhoods. It was also then that Katherine came along to shock the family some more. They never talked about or planned a second child, and she was as much a surprise as Forrest had been. Money was tight and Elliot worked as much as he could to make ends meet, while Bethany played full time mother and part time cleaner whenever work came her way. The neighbourhood was aggressive at night, the family often having to double bolt and lock everything just for a slim sense of security. Still, it was life and it was the one Forrest grew up in.
As a kid he was troublesome...because the other boys were. He went along with a lot of pranks and fought whenever someone tried to tell him to shut up or blamed him for something. He was hot-headed from a young age, sometimes breaking toys because Katherine had played with them or ruined something of his. Bethany, Elliot and the teachers did their best with him, but school was not something that Forrest enjoyed and as the years went by he changed from a troubled tot to a lost cause in the eyes of the school. He was constantly reminded of how he would “waste his life” if he didn't buckle down and learn something, and it became more frequent, more explicit and soon he heard it at home too. Bethany and Elliot wanted the best for their children and a future they hadn't had, but Forrest was almost uncontrollable. They worried about Katherine picking up his habits, but she was much more timid in Forrest's presence, often being left in tears just from hearing him shout, or seeing him fight in the school yard. Eventually, Forrest began to wonder what the point was. Kids at school would comment on his poor background which led to fights he was blamed for, adults seem to glare, give up on him and tell their children to stay away from him. It was only a matter of time before he came exactly what they expected him to be; a cruel bully and a troublemaker.
He was a teenager, skipping school, shoplifting from the store and getting into fights long after his curfew. Elliot introduced him to boxing as a way to control his bad temper and it was something Forrest enjoyed, but it wasn't enough. He still couldn't focus in school with idiots trying to taunt him, eyes on him making him snap and teachers constantly pressuring him to be something he wasn't. He didn't want to go to college, he hated classes with certain teachers so much that he just cut them completely and he fell in with a bad crowd who were mostly older than him. He began to flirt with the girls, sneak into bars and soon he was out of control. He was seventeen when he was expelled for fighting and breaking a student's jaw. After that, things got worse.
Elliot and Bethany tried in vain to help their son, Katherine avoiding her brother completely and only shouting at him with hot, angry tears whenever someone had made her day hell for the “state” of her brother. Forrest beat more teenagers up than he should of done for that, just to teach them a lesson rather than for Katherine's sake. With the nagging, the hate from his baby sister and the pressure to get him into another school, Forrest fell closer to a life of crime. The crowd he hung with were no strangers to it and he learnt tricks from them, being the lookout when they broke in some place and eventually climbing his way up with loyalty and an angry passion to a getaway driver. The police knew him well by this point, he'd had a brush with the courts once or twice, but Forrest didn't care. In his eyes, he only had the rush to live for. It got worse over time. He'd treat girls as challenges and games, use his charm and looks to get what he wanted and then ditch people, go and do the boss's dirty work when someone owed him money or had crossed a line. He spent more time getting into fights in and out of the boxing ring that it wasn't uncommon to see him bruised or cut up. He was not a nice guy, his parents were out of options and he was totally out of control.
At nineteen he met Lauren Norton. She was a dance student in the city and he chose her as his next challenge. It didn't take long for him to win (two nights, one drink and a devilish smirk did the trick) and she was useful to him for a short while. He had planned to cast her off and never see her again after a few weeks. He did just that, but then she showed up at his door with a pregnancy test and demanding money for their baby since he had ruined any chance she had of finishing her college education in dance now. Forrest denied all part in it, saying it was someone else's and telling her to get out of his life. But Lauren pestered and pestered to the point where his “boss” handed him an envelope of cash to make sure Forrest got rid of the woman from his life. She was threatening to call the cops and alert them to a fight Forrest had been a part of one night. It had been a big fight at a bad time and would link him and several others to another crime Lauren knew nothing about. He did a good job to keep the women away from his work whenever he could. He may not care about them, but Forrest didn't want enemies attacking their lives to try and get to him; it would be a waste and just leave him with an angry girl or their father to deal with. Anyway, he was to give Lauren the money for the kid and then she'd vanish; just like they'd arranged.
However, it didn't go so smoothly. Lauren went into labour a little earlier than expected. Three weeks earlier. Forrest went to the hospital to give her the money, but it was late and a nurse was refusing to let him in to see Lauren. Eventually he angrily told the woman that he was the father and then things went against his plan. Lauren was sleeping, so the nurse instead dragged Forrest away to see his little baby girl. Forrest had been convinced that he wanted nothing to do with the baby. He planned to hand over the money and then let Lauren and the girl go and live their lives without bothering him ever again. But then he saw Alysha and things changed. She was beautiful and when the nurse pressured him into holding her he knew he was in more trouble than he had ever been in before. In that moment he knew he wanted to be a part of her life and do something good for her. He wanted to keep her safe from the monsters and be her hero. Which was odd, since he was usually the first rather than the second of those things. Lauren allowed this, at first. He saw Alysha when he could and everything was great. Lauren despised him still for how he had treated her, but she thought he might change his ways for their daughter, even if it was obvious that they didn't have a future together.
Then, came the night of the job. It was a simple break in to take some things to settle accounts, but something went wrong and they were caught in the middle of the act by the cops. Forrest sensed a betrayal, but no one owned up to it or told him the truth about what had really happened that night. He was sentenced to three years in jail and the judge hoped for a reformation for Alysha's sake, if not Forrest's. For Lauren it was enough. She saw through the trial just how dangerous and troublesome Forrest could be and instantly refused to let Forrest see Alysha. She wouldn't send photos or keep him updated and if he called her it only ever ended in him yelling and her hanging the phone up. Three years passed by slow enough for Forrest and when he was released he went back to demand Lauren let him see Alysha. They never saw eye to eye again, with Lauren constantly trying to deny Forrest access, but Forrest could kick up enough of a fuss that she would be forced to relent on occasion. She never let him see Alysha as much as he would have liked, but Forrest was just happy that the little girl knew who he was, called him daddy and loved him. Alysha was the only person in the world who didn't think him some kind of horrible monster. He wanted to be a better person for her, wanted to make a fresh start and really try, but he was scared of failing. His life may have not been legit, but those jobs left him with money enough to spoil Alysha and keep his own head above water.
Six months later he made the bold move to get out, but his boss was manipulative and knew how to pull Forrest's strings. It was “one more job” and then he let him go, but Forrest had a record and no skills to put to use in New York City. Everything he knew was criminal. His family had lost touch a while back when he was incarcerated and there was no hope with Lauren, ever. All Forrest knew was how to be a jerk and a bad guy. So, he continued to do that. Getting into bar fights, pulling the odd job when money was short and generally slipping back into old habits. Only Alysha offered him a glimmer of hope, but Lauren snuffed it out quickly enough to make him doubt that hope was ever there in the first place.
Maybe there is a chance for him somewhere out there, but he doubts it. He sticks with his habits; fighting, seducing and ditching. He boxes still, gets himself into trouble on occasion, but it's no excuse for a life; not even if the pay is more than anything he could earn flipping burgers or mopping floors. The question is what will come first; a second stretch, or the light at the end of a very messy tunnel?
