PERSONALITY: Daisy is a pretty fierce woman. She’s passionate and vocal in both her personal and professional life. She’s got a no nonsense attitude, but enjoys long talks with those she considers friends. Known for being a hard worker, Daisy can sometimes shoulder more than she has to in the drive to prove herself. She’s pretty damn blunt and prides herself on telling it like it is. Daisy can be impatient at times, but she does try her best to cooperate with others in her life, even if they don’t realise they’re pushing her buttons. She can be independent to the point where she pushes people away rather than letting them in. She doesn’t always mean to, but she can act without thinking at times. Daisy has a fiery temper but she can reign it in most of the time. When she doesn’t though she can set out to tear the world apart; at least until someone manages to stop her. Her love life is pretty cold. It’s not that she doesn’t want a relationship or to find the man to spend her life with because she does. However, the excitement wears away a few months in, and then she pushes them away. She needs that spark, someone who can keep thrilling her in the most simplistic of ways. Daisy wants someone who she can talk to over and over again. She wants a confidant and someone who can surprise her from time to time. Loneliness is a killer for her. When she feels lonely is when she’ll go out and drink until tomorrow seems a lifetime away. Then she often wakes up with someone or at someplace she regrets.MOTHER: Magdalene Avyanna Watson, 57.

HISTORY: Andraste Watson was born to Magdalene and Ivan Watson. She was the second daughter and third child for wealthy couple. Magdalene was a distant relative of some royal who had zero chance of obtaining the throne unless something like Red Wedding happened at a palace event. Ivan had made most of his money from the businesses his father had started and ultimately handed over to him. They had met at a charity gala and after a very “proper” courtship, they were married and moved to a private estate in the country. Their children were all planned, and surprises were not exactly something Ivan enjoyed – so they were lucky there!
Daisy became Daisy because neither she nor her sister Emersyn could pronounce “Andraste” when they were toddlers. Eventually it just stuck. Her parents continued to use the name they had given her, along with the friends they had who disliked nicknames. Everyone came to know her as Daisy though when it came to school.
They all attended a very prestigious private school that taught everything at a high degree. Daisy was seven and learning Latin. Looking back she thinks a lot of it was very excessive, but at the time she didn’t know that there was an alternative. She was liked in school, but there were still some classmates who thought themselves better. They might try to tease or taunt Daisy but she could never understand what they wanted from her, or even what was happening. She just got on with her life, going to class and doing the things she liked when they had lunchbreak. She met Trevor when he transferred to the school when she was thirteen. He was assigned the seat next to her and it was his jokes that made her like him. They became fast friends and over the years confided in each other about pretty much everything. Nothing romantic happened between them, and Daisy never expected it to. She didn’t see Trevor in that way, but people still questioned them both about their friendship. Daisy didn’t even date during school. She wasn’t interested in the boys who boasted their wealth like no one else in the school had also come from money. She didn’t know what she had in a trust fund, nor did she care. Yes, money ensured she had all she could want, but Daisy had ambitions to go and make a living for herself one day.
Her choice for her future was a little more surprising. She was “a science geek”, who had a logical brain. She eventually decided she wanted to become an engineer of a kind. It wasn’t what her parents wanted from her, but Daisy wasn’t the type to be deterred. She was feisty and determined. Her parents hadn’t been able to make her do much the older she got. She had stopped playing the violin because she hated the sound of it. She chose her own garments for the galas and events they attended, often going for a more mature style than they had expected (It was never inappropriate, but they thought she should still be in poofy skirts when she opted for a sleeker, form fitting dress).
Daisy went to the University of London for Engineering. She worked hard and was semi-accompanied by Trevor. He was at another university in the city, so they often met up for drinks and dinner. Daisy had her first real boyfriend in London, and kind of figured herself out more. She was grateful for the life she had been given, but at the same time had no desire to be like her parents. She loved them dearly, but her mother was often rushing about planning a social event and her father was shouting at the newest management in his company, or denying mergers and speaking costs and stocks. She wanted a life that wasn’t just about the extravagance. There were things she preferred though, and things money could only get her. For example, she always flew first class for the extra room and peace of mind. She paid money for people to do the things she hated, like cleaning her home or sending her laundry out instead of relying on machines that she often forgot she had turned on.
After university, she was asked by Emersyn to join her in New York. Emersyn went through fancies of chasing dream after dream. Daisy happily joined her sister but was pissed as hell when Emersyn decided she was born of NYC and wanted to go to LA. Daisy had just unpacked an apartment, decorated and found herself a job when her sister broke the news. Stubborn and full of wildfire, Daisy refused to leave the city. Instead she landed her position as a Forensic Engineer, spending her days figuring out why something had gone wrong or failed. She was called into courtrooms for lawsuits sometimes, but aside from that fact she loved her job.
Since then she’s bought her parrot, Charlie, and become firmly situated in the city that never sleeps. Very few people know her family there – which is a bonus – and she manages to go by Daisy more often than not (though a few people see “Andraste” on official forms and think it’s the name of a company, not a woman). She’s happy, even if people do think she’s tense most of the time. Maybe she just needs someone to help her celebrate life, but making time, and room, for them is what Daisy struggles with.
