FULL NAME: Eloise Fabiana Xylander.
NICKNAMES: X
AGE: Thirty
GENDER: female
SEXUALITY: Straight.
STATUS: Single.
GROUP: Citizen.
GRADE: N/A.
MAJOR: N/A.
JOB OCCUPATION: Currently unemployed but was previously an accountant. (She does do freelance so she's not exactly unemployed but that is definitely not enough.)HAIR: Long, naturally brown hair. She's not seem her natural colour in some time. It's regularly turned into a white/grey colour she adores and left to fall about her shoulders unless she's working.
EYES: Ice blue.
SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: None that you'd see anyway.
TATTOOS: She's absolutely covered in them. Her favourites are the sliver of moon on the side of her face as well as the chandelier pieces by both ears. There's also the giant gem and filigree on her chest and neck. She's got portraits and filigree and plants just about everywhere and so many more that even she's lost count.
PIERCINGS: Her ears twice and her septum.
PLAY-BY: Ryan Ashley Malarkey!LIKES: Basketball, maths, reading, scented candles, aroma therapy, massages, spa days, high heels, sugar skulls, Halloween, Taco Tuesdays, British comedy shows, elephants, book shopping, Harry Potter, Supernatural, Pub trivia, satire, Mai-Tais, Disney's The Great Mouse Detective.
DISLIKES: skipping her morning coffee, missing a call from her mother, political conversations, clothes shopping, unscented candles, city traffic, working out (she does it anyway, her trainer makes her), green smoothies, romantic comedies, vanilla cake, coconut flavoured anything, forgetting her sunglasses.
FEARS: getting a job with the government and having a friend's name come across her desk, getting hit by a cab, never having kids.
SECRETS: She feels unbelievably guilty for not going to pick up her brother with her father. They would have all died but she still feels like she should have gone for the car ride. She's been told a dozen times that it's survivor's guilt and that it will eventually pass but it's been almost fifteen years and she still wakes up in a cold sweat from time to time. A happier not so secret is that Eloise is an epic science fiction nerd.
PERSONALITY: Eloise has lived through heartbreak and loss enough for a lifetime in her opinion but she's made it through the other side of it all with a tougher skin. She's a brilliant woman with a sharp mind but a sailor's tongue and the lack of filters to apologise for any of it. She is sweet as can be when she wants but talk to her the wrong way, or catch her at a bad time, and she isn't afraid to let that sarcastic side of her show. Her parents had ingrained in all their children that you respected only those who respected you so she is most definitely not everyone's cup of tea. She also doesn't try to be. Eloise is sassy, down to Earth and always after a good bit of fun. She's not at all as stuffy as her accent makes people believe she is. She would much rather be hanging from a rope bridge at an adventure park than wearing some pastel get up and having high tea. In fact, she kind of hates tea! Well, most kinds anyway. She's known affection but she's never felt that bone-deep love that the film industry tries to portray.MOTHER: Diane Xylander & sixty two.

HISTORY: Eloise was born to Ian and Diane, the youngest of five children. They didn't have much but they had enough to be comfortable and happy. They all grew up attending public school and playing on the school sports teams, with friends and smiles on their faces. Eloise was always a bit of a daddy's girl, running to him for everything that she needed help with. Despite her mother being alive and very well, Eloise even ran to her father to do her hair in the mornings and read her bedtime stories at night. Diane thought it was cute and funny that they were so close. They had their days as well but they also had four other children, one more girl who needed attention and help with her hair as well. So they had their parts to play. As they grew older, those roles didn't change much though neither parent really wanted their children to grow up. Eloise continued to go to her parents for advice over her friends because she knew they would never lie to her like her friends could. At sixteen, tragedy struck and two of their seven family members lost their lives in a horrific car accident. Eloise and her next closest sibling, a brother named Liam, had been invited to a party but Eloise had come down with the flu beforehand and opted out of it. Liam still went to the party, had a bit to drink and decided it wise to call home and get someone to pick him up. Ian and Diane did not raise foolish children. Unfortunately it was late and the driver of the other car was tired from his long journey. He fell asleep at the wheel, swerved into the other lane and Ian seeing what was happening in that split second beforehand, overcompensated, turning the wheel harshly. He couldn't readjust quickly enough and their vehicle crashed into the side of the bridge, broke through the stonework and fell into the river below them.
Ian came to when the water rose high enough to touch his face. He'd been wearing his belt so his injuries didn't seem as bad as they could have been. Liam had been too but his head hit the window on impact and there was so much blood. He tried in vain to wake his youngest boy up but nothing he did worked. Frantic to escape the death trap and get his boy out, Ian tried everything he could think of to smash a window to get them out. Unfortunately, neither of them made it out of that river alive. The other driver was charged with all sorts of things, though Eloise couldn't keep track. She'd been the one to answer the door when the police had come calling. She'd been sleeping on and off for the last couple of days that her sleep schedule was all out of whack and so she was wide awake. In fact, she was curled up on the couch watching a movie and waiting for her family to return home. She'd been awake when Liam had called and told her dad that she hadn't been feeling up for the drive. Now she wished she'd gone with him though she knew deep down that the only thing that would have changed was that the family would have lost three lives not just two. It was heartbreaking to know instantly that they were gone when she opened the door and saw who was on the other side. They hadn't even opened their mouths to say anything at all and Eloise let out an earth shattering scream. Of course her mother had come running down the stairs of their little cottage style home and had also known what must have happened. She reached for her baby girl and together they cried while the police explained what had happened to their family members.
It was difficult for Eloise to lose her father as they were very close. She couldn't focus in school, she would get simple questions wrong or fall into a daze that saw her friends and teachers having to snap her out of it. In the end, they all agreed that she should finish out her year at home. She didn't have any deadlines other than the end of the year and she could have it all sent in whenever she finished something. It had been what she had needed. Her siblings were all away at school or needing to take care of their own lives and her mother, despite being just as broken hearted, needed to keep her focus otherwise their home could be lost to them. Eloise spent her time between a grief centre and her home, unable to focus on much for very long. It got better over time and she was able to finish all her school work and send it in before the end of the year.
Eloise hadn't actually considered accounting when she was headed off to college. She figured she would spend the first year fooling around, jumping between majors before finally settling on a business degree because that's what people seemed to do. She had no idea what use it would be, she had never been interested in business, had in fact thought she would attend one of those barely functioning aesthetics colleges and be the best damn hairstylist and make up artist. She loved playing around with that stuff but she was brilliant at maths and though she believed it to be a long shot, promised her father she would at least apply to those big schools and for some scholarships and bursaries. If she got them then great, if she didn't that was just fine, too. There was some money saved up, enough for a course or two and the supplies for each. Since she didn't think there was a hope in hell she'd get in anywhere, her only good grades were in maths, she went wild with applying to schools all over the world.
It came as quite the surprise when a few months later, she received a letter in the post informing her of her acceptance to NYU. It had been a couple months since her father and brother's deaths and it was like he was there with her. She couldn't not accept it, though it would be difficult to figure out. She was awarded a partial scholarship, provided her studies were based in the maths. She accepted, planning on spend that first year deciding which specialty she would chase after. If she failed, so be it. Eloise was not a quitter, despite how she'd been acting the previous six or so months. Besides which, she had promised her father who had helped her apply for school so many months beforehand so she could not decline. She had to do it for him. Just like she had to do something to remember him by. They'd always joked that when she went off to school to finish her education and do something great with her life, they would head over to a tattoo parlour and create a little something. They'd talked ideas and designs for ages but the promise was after she graduated. She graduated but he wasn't there so Diane agreed to it; as did her siblings. They were all still hurting and though it wasn't closure, it was something they shared.
She was pretty hooked after that but school came first for her. She got a job in New York as a perfume counter girl while she went to school, she returned home during the summer months and did it all again the following September. During those summer months, she worked at the small bakery she'd been working before everything in her world crashed down around her. They'd allowed her to stay on during that so she had somewhere she could be when home or the counsellor wasn't helping and then when she was home for the summers so she could have some money throughout the school year. Her scholarship covered the cost of classes, everything else was up to her. It had been tough, which was why she hadn't gotten any more tattoos after that first one. All her money had to go to keeping a roof over her head and she needed every little bit of money in her bank account. Four years later, she managed to graduate with a Master's in accounting and her eyes on furthering her specialty into forensic accounting. With thanks to the internship she'd landed her final year, she had a place on a low wrung at a good accounting firm. It is not at all where she'd wanted to be but it was a start.
The following years saw her working her way up a couple more steps on that ladder, collecting her Bachelors in Forensic Accounting, which didn't take as long since she'd already been a certified CPA. Those years also saw her finally add to her masterful artwork and upgrading a few things in her life. She was covered, strategically, so she could still wear appropriate clothing to work and no one was the wiser of her tattoos. They may have been becoming more widely accepted but they were still taboo in some circles and she didn't know exactly which category her boss fell into. It was easy work and a bit tedious but Eloise needed a job and it was a damn good pay. More than a few years in, she was put in charge of a special project. The big boss saw a discrepancy in the numbers and he needed someone to look into it. As Eloise was the only one with the appropriate credentials, that second Bachelor's degree, she was charged with looking into it. The work was supposed to be a secret so she was moved from the accounting floor to the top and given a small office to work in. Daniel Caruthers popped his head into her small office daily, asking if she'd found anything new. It took her two months to go through all the paperwork and another couple days to decipher who had actually taken the money. She reported her findings to Mr Caruthers the second she'd figured it out. Unfortunately, it led to her termination as he hadn't expected to be secretly bought out of his own company by his second in command. It was a "board decision" but it meant that Daniel was out and so was the woman who'd found the thief. Mr Caruthers was fine, he had enough money to live off for two lifetimes but it was not so great for Eloise. She might have landed herself a rent controlled apartment that barely cost her anything at all but her savings would only go so far and she needed to find work soon otherwise she would be forced to return to England and find something there.
