SECRETS: Echo was brought up in a very posh neighbourhood in London. She doesn't act like one would expect of her standing so she pretends she's from a bit more of a slum. Still, she's too "proper English" as her friends in New York have said so it's only a matter of time. That is, if they even understand.
PERSONALITY: Echo is not what she appears. She appears to be the average university student, working and studying her ass off to get where she wants to be in the world; she just happens to have an English accent to go with it. What she is, is that and so much more. She's got a brilliant mind under all that blonde hair of hers. She's sweet by my no means is she shy. She was born into wealth and though it's not the case- to her knowledge, her aunties and uncles like to say as though they're in line for the throne. If that were the case, hundreds would have to mysteriously die for it to happen. Echo's small bit of the family is far more relaxed, hell, her name is Echo! She was allowed to get dirty at the park climbing trees and see the world through curious children's eyes. She's a creative girl with so many ideas rushing through her mind but she's a small bit of a mess, preferring "organised chaos" but she still can't seem to find the pen she just put down to write them all down! Echo likes to hit the gym though she would not consider herself athletic in any way, despite being a trained dancer. She's never really known what love is so she's not got an opinion on it either way. She'd like to think she'd like the romance of it all but she won't know until it happens.MOTHER: Eveline Faulk & fifty-one.
FATHER: Bartholomew Faulk & fifty-two.
SIBLINGS: Alaric Faulk & twenty five.
OTHERS: Iliza Mizenko & Boss.

HISTORY: Bartholomew and Eveline met at a charity event for something or another. Neither of them could remember what it was. Eveline came from money, from prestige but she didn't have much care for it. Still, she had needed to make an appearance or her parents would have thrown the book at her. Bart had been invited by a friend who quickly ditched him to flirt with a pretty brunette across the room. They met at the bar, Eveline waiting patiently for an acceptable length of time to pass before she could slip away and Bart was in need of a drink if he were going to stick around and get his mind off the fact that he had to study. He was on a fast track to becoming a barrister and didn't want to lose sight of the prize at the end of that particular race. He chatted her up, she reciprocated and only a few short minutes later, Bart was escorting Eveline to the terrace for some air. She admitted she'd rather be anywhere else and they bonded over their boredom. Enough time had slipped by where Eve could acceptably slip away and she took Bart with her. They seemed to be inseparable ever since. He loved her carefree take on life and Eve loved how driven Bart was. They were total opposites but they managed to work somehow.
Fast forward a few years, a wedding, three house moves and a baby boy they named Alaric, Eve and Bart bring home their baby girl. Eve was on a Myths and legends kick and loved the ideas of the Nymph's names being something they were surrounded by or what they cared for. She bounced between a few names, all connected in some way or another to music or sound. She had hopes of her baby girl growing up to be musically gifted. Quickly, Eve and Bart settled on a name they could both agree on and chose Echo. They were right. Echo showed an innate ability to play the piano during a break in her brother's lessons when she was only two years old. Immediately she began lessons herself and surpassed her brother in only a few short months. Her parents discussed it, found her an agent and things took off from there. She was playing sold-out theatres at ten years old, making more money than anyone knew what to do with. Bart thought it was a good idea to put the money into savings accounts and investments and allow her to have an allowance of sorts. As she got older, she took to dancing as exercise since it was easier to find a space to dance than it was to find a gym in some of the places she performed. At sixteen, she decided to give it all up and explore other options. She was sick of being the reason her family was constantly on the road. She didn't want her brother to hate her though it had been his suggestion to send him to boarding school so he could have some routine in his life.
Eve took Echo to her shows with Bart flying in and out again whenever he could. He was a damn good barrister and helped a lot of people so he couldn't always make it to everything but they all made it work. Echo wanted to have friends and a life, which was why she wanted to quit at sixteen. She wanted to have what Alaric had, was envious of the stories he told her whenever the family was together. She started at a local school, made friends and forgot all about touring constantly and never really having friends. She did the occasion show once in a while if her parents agreed to it and she wanted to do it so she was never really out of the spotlight but she wasn't centre stage to it either. She enjoyed her life, shopping and hanging out with her friends.
When she was just shy of eighteen, the police showed up at the family home. As it was blatantly obvious she was not at all involved with her money, they knew she was not aware of what had been happening to her accounts and investments. Over the previous six years, Gareth had been systematically robbing her blind. He moved money around enough that it all looked like it was proper but some of the money he was stashing in an offshore account. He was smart about it, keeping up with her allowance payments and making sure there was always money in the accounts for all the legal stuff. And then he didn't show up for work and people got curious. Echo wasn't his only client and she wasn't the only one without her money in her accounts, there were twelve others. Hers, however, was the biggest name on his client list, so hers was the one in the papers. He stole millions from all his clients, effectively cleaned Echo out. She had only what was given to her each month from the allowance.
She was somehow turned into a laughing stock, a disgrace though none of it was her fault. Echo slipped away in the middle of the night with the money that was in her bank account. It was the only account in her name that was solely accessible to her. Every other account in her name had been accessible by her accountant and her parents, though they were just as furious about the entire situation as she was confused by it. She packed her bags and hopped on a plane, on the first flight out. As it happened, it was New York City. She had a fair bit of money in her accounts since she barely touched her allowance money, enough to get her a hotel room when she landed and an apartment within a couple days of looking around the city. It was incredible and quite the steal as there were few people willing to live in a rehabbed church. Echo had never really been churchly so it didn't bother her in the least.
She applied for school, not thinking she would make it that round and shocked when her acceptance letter came in the mail. With the money in her accounts, she could afford school and to live for a short time comfortably but she needed a job to continue to be able to feed herself every day. It took her a while, too many rejections and pints of ice cream but eventually, after a rather difficult and depressing day of searching, she stumbled into Casablanca. She ordered a drink and nursed it for more than an hour, barely drinking it at all after that first tentative sip. She was so dejected and thinking returning home and being that weird laughing stock than stick around New York. She seemed to catch the eye of the bartender in the neon pink wig who got Echo to talk. Echo didn't notice that she'd emptied her drink through the sordid tale or that it was replaced with another and another after that until she'd thought she'd misheard the pink haired woman when she'd offered up a job behind the bar. She wasn't actually old enough to be there so instead, she offered to bus tables instead. As that worked for the pink haired woman, Echo was then asked if she could start the next night.
It was all a bit surreal but it was a job and Echo was around music so she didn't hate it. She bussed tables for two weeks before she'd been caught dancing around the table at the end of a shift one night, after the doors closed. She wasn't a choreographer but she could move her hips, she could take orders and direction and she picked up what Iliza was tossing at her. Her next shift started in the day, rehearsals to get her up to par with the rest of the girls dancing. By the end of the month, she could keep up and even add her own little flair to it, just what she needed to do. It was fun and she enjoyed it as she studied her days away at school. As she grew more confident on the stage, she grew more confident in the other bits of her life, opening up to the possibilities of a good future. In her spare time, when she was old enough, Echo also took up a bartending class to learn tricks and those cool spins she saw some of the bartenders do. As it turned out the skills came in handy and Echo found herself behind the bar a few times here and there. She enjoyed that almost as much as she enjoyed dancing. These days she's just counting down the days until her journey through university is over and she can start on the next steps to that coveted position she's after. Everything else at the moment is just a wonderful bonus.
