EYES: Blue
SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: None of great importance.
TATTOOS: On her right thigh she has a large, coloured anchor with a bird flying over it, pulling the rope through. Underneath it in script, it says “Persevere”.

DISLIKES: bullies, hypocrites, clowns, overly-muscular men, burnt food, snobs, the feel of raw meat, orange, shopping trips with other girls, the smell of rum, early mornings, her car not starting, when TV shows carry on for too long, getting beat on a video game, feeling homesick, missing her family and friends, talking about her feelings, letting anyone else in, ‘It’s a small world’, bad hangovers.
FEARS: Failing at her dreams, hospital stays, someone breaking her heart.
SECRETS: Despite everything that’s happened in her past and her party lifestyle she’s still a virgin.
PERSONAILTY: Allela is a sarcastic little madam. Almost every sentence she says drips with dry wit. She’s very much a tomboy and spends more time in old clothes, under the bonnet of her car fixing it or rolling around in the dirt at festivals. She’s also very determined and will do whatever it takes to achieve her dreams; even travel halfway across the world. She’s very curious and loves travelling, just to see what the rest of the world is like. To say Allela was musical wouldn’t even come close. Music is her life and she spends the majority of her time working with it, listening to it, playing it...she literally cannot cope without music. She’ll always stand up for what she believes in though, regardless of whom she’s with or where she is. She’s got quite the short temper too, so it doesn’t take too much to have her flying off the handle and throwing the first punch. She’s blunt and to the point and not the kind to beat around the bush, sometimes forgetting to consider people’s feelings.
Whilst she doesn’t live in the clubs, Allela does like to party. She can be wild and she’s daring and when she’s in the right mood.
When it comes to relationships though, Allela can be quite complex. She’ll like someone for some time, flirt like hell with them and maybe go a little further before she'll freak out and bail. It’s safe to say that she has intimacy issues after an incident in her past.
She’s quite immature at times and spends her lazier days on the sofa, watching cartoons and pigging out on munchies and ice cream whilst swigging copious amounts of Mountain Dew. She’s fidgety to the point where she can’t actually sit still without squirming.
She’s not what one would call a ‘people-person’. There’s a lot that makes Allela dislike a person and once that happens, it’s usually hard to claw back from it. She’s also quite closeted and not the kind of girl to talk about her feelings to anyone. She believes that she has to be strong and so keeps a lot of stuff bottled up!

HISTORY: Allela was the seventh and final child to be born into the Rosslyn family. She had a relatively simply infanthood. The family wasn’t bursting with money but they had love and they had each other and Allela was raised to learn and understand that traditional values like that were a lot stronger in relationships than anything materialistic in the whole world.
As a child, Allela was constantly chasing after her older brothers, trying to climb trees with them and swing across the small brook at the back of their house. She was a tomboy from the moment she could walk and there was definitely no denying that. She also loved music and would sing the songs her mother used to play whenever she was alone in the house and use pans and old packaging to make herself little instruments to play, like they always did on TV. Her childhood was relatively uneventful and the time past by quickly enough and before anyone knew what was happening, Allela was a confident, tall and ‘blossoming’ (as her parents put it) young teenager.
Allela first attended an all-girls Catholic school in keeping with family tradition and the religious side of her mother’s family. Allela wasn’t really interested in religion, but school was school and things would have been alright, apart from the fact that she was bullied. The girls found her to be strange. She wasn’t feminine, had a sharp tongue and spent more time in the practice rooms of the school than anyone else. They found her anti-social behaviour weird, when in fact it was more to do with Allela’s dislike for the girls there, wishing she could be in a mixed school and at least have things in common with the people around her. She played football for a local youth team and it was “weird” for a girl to be running around, falling into the mud and kicking a ball, apparently.
Her brothers bought her a guitar for her thirteenth birthday and her family soon regretted buying her the drum kit for her fourteenth, despite saying that she deserved one after learning both instruments at school since she was nine. Music was definitely Allela’s life and she was almost always staying late to practice for the latest school production or concert.
Working backstage for a lot of concerts the school organised, Allela began to want to make her own music concert a reality and with a bit of help from friends, family and persuaded locals, she soon put on the first Alley-Kat festival, which was a great success and led the way for many more.
Allela was fifteen when she spent more and more time with one of few good friends, Hannah. Slowly, an attraction began to form and eventually Allela realised that she was bisexual. The pair began a relationship together, which was difficult because of the idiots who they went to school with. It became too much and Hannah quickly broke up with Allela. During all of this, Allela began to rebel more than usual and was going out to parties with her brothers, drinking and having to be carried home. For a girl who bottled everything up and never spoke about it, it was only a short length of time before she would explode. She did, the start of her final school year. One girl, making a horrible comment towards her, quickly found herself slammed against the wall, Allela’s hand gripping her hair whilst she punched her. That afternoon she was expelled, no one caring about the bullying she had been through, just repeatedly telling her that violence was never the answer.
In a sense, her wish came true and she was quickly transferred to a local school that had no religious preference and was mixed. None of the children had inherited the religious lifestyle the school had tried to make them follow and Allela the least believed in any of it, especially after she came out to her family. She was still recovering from all the jeers though and it made making friends even harder; she felt as though she couldn’t trust anyone, especially after what had happened with Hannah. The people at her new school partied more and Allela did join them for the rebelling aspect; she was acting out, trying to find herself and discover what she wanted in life. The kids there were much more accepting and she quickly found a small group of trustworthy friends which included the lovable Duncan. He was a joker with a big heart and often was the one who dealt with Allela’s bad moods or covered for her when she was too drunk to go home.
Things took a turn when Allela was in the sixth form college at seventeen. There was a big party and she went along in merry spirits when one guy who was in her psychology class began flirting pretty heavily with her. Sam 'faked' being her boyfriend of sorts and accompanied her to a few more parties, despite Duncan’s warnings. Allela was convinced she could take care of herself. At Duncan’s eighteenth, Sam was convinced that he'd finally get Allela alone in a bedroom, but she had other thoughts. She wasn't ready for anything like that, but Sam spiked her drink and figured he'd get what he wanted anyway. If it wasn't for Duncan noticing her absence and going looking for her anything could have happened. He found them in an upstairs bedroom, Allela too out of it to fight Sam off, and Sam struggling with her skintight skinny jeans. Duncan and Sam fought, Duncan ultimately throwing Sam out and telling him to stay the hell away from his friend. If it hadn't been for him, Allela would have lost her virginity that night in the most horrible way, and likely her dignity, too.
After that, only Duncan could really get close enough for her to let him in and any relationship she tried to have was ruined. She could only get so far before panicking and running away again. Most people probably would’ve stopped partying after that too, but Allela didn’t; she was just prone to taking everything the wrong way and freaking out much easier than before. At parties she would never leave Duncan’s side. She felt by going to the parties she was being ‘normal’ and helping herself get over it, which she wasn’t, at all. She never told anyone what Sam actually said to her, bottling it up.
She started university in Glasgow, but nothing changed. Gradually, she grew worse, especially since the university guys were much more ‘hands on’ after a few drinks. No one ever stopped to question why and it was Duncan who had to look out for her. She wasn’t doing so good with the party aspect of things still, but Duncan would make her talk about it, just so that it wasn’t all bottled up inside, making things worse for her. It wasn’t enough though and when some guy drunkenly grabbed her and tried to pull her back to him, Allela hit him with the bottle in her hand, almost resulting in an arrest for her and the guy needed stitches. Duncan coerced her into explaining what had happened, but she refused to tell her family about it. He helped her quite a bit in rebuilding her confidence and coping with drunk come-ons at parties, but she avoided mentioning the intimacy issues that had stemmed from it too. If a nice guy asked her out in class she could only go on a handful of casual dates before she had to run. She was scared of anyone getting too close to her after being hurt twice before by Hannah and then Sam.
Eventually, she was growing frustrated again, ready to snap, but this time at everything in her life. Nothing seemed to be going anywhere and in a sudden move, she dropped out of university during her second year. She didn’t know what she wanted to do but she felt suffocated and trapped by everything around her.
With Duncan’s help, she followed one of her dreams and travelled the globe, visiting the countries she had always wanted to see. She left her family shocked when she declared that she was staying in New York after falling in love with the city. Still determined to follow her musical dreams, Allela quickly found herself a job in a Broadway Theatre as a sound engineer and had even hooked herself up as the lead guitarist of a local band. She had every angle of the music business covered. She was able to work behind the scenes and on the stage. She still partied pretty hard when the mood struck her, but she was free of most of her past demons and able to live the life she had always wanted, her confidence rebuilding itself and slowly turning back into the sarcastic, feisty and ‘no bull’ taking girl her brothers and Duncan once knew her as. Duncan visited along with her family a few times each year, but Allela was moving on quickly from the ghosts of Glasgow and it seemed as though nothing would hold her back now that she had seemingly found where she belonged. Things were looking good for the young girl and the only thing she now has left to overcome is the fear she has of physical intimacy!

SAMPLE:She rolled her eyes at Ryder’s terrible pun. She crossed her legs and leaned back in her seat, frowning when she realised that someone had altered the back of her chair again. There was no need for anyone else to sit in her seat when each of the techs had their own chairs in the booth. Yet another reason why their fellow ‘friend’ should be fired. “See, I’d be fine if you studied law. You could represent me for free and then I could go around killing everyone who pissed me off. Why don’t you ever come through for me, bestie?” She joked, throwing Ryder a ‘what the hell’ look. Smirking at the point he made, Allela adjusted her chair back to how she liked it and then focused on her friend again. “I wait patiently for the day when it’s you in my crosshairs.” She teased, chuckling to herself before glancing down at the stage to make sure they weren’t needed yet.
She narrowed her eyes at Ryder and then sat up straight again. “It’d take me less than an hour and you know it. And he wouldn’t agree just to hear the silence, he’d agree because I’m stubborn and won’t give in until I get my way.” She said casually, as though it was common knowledge. She was tempted to challenge their boss and try to put their argument forward just to prove that she could do it. She smirked as another idea came to mind and she flicked her mocha eyes up to look at Ryder again. “I could just thicken my accent so much that he can’t understand what I’m saying and trick him into agreeing to it. That or I can find a way to make him agree to our demands. Does he have a cat I could kidnap?” She mused, pausing for a second to wonder if Jesse got along with cats. She knew her loving dog hated birds, but cats he had never really come up against for as long as Allela could remember.
Smirking, she looked down at the folder in her hands and then glanced back over at him again. “Oh, I know. I’ve been trying to get rid of you for long enough.” He had set himself right up for that one and Allela really couldn’t resist making the jibe. Their friendship was brilliant and the fact they could hang out with so many insults and jokes flying back and forth made Allela strangely happy.
Laughing she held her hand sup in mock surrender. “You got me, Ry! I’m jealous of anyone else who gets to spend time with you other than me. The thought of kidnapping you has crossed my mind once or twice, but then I remember that I’d probably have to feed you and let you sleep in my bed.” She shrugged as though it was just one of those things and then turned back around in her chair to look at the soundboard, making sure everything was set in the right place for the time being.
Scoffing, she looked him up and down. “It’s cushy enough to be a bouncy castle.” She teased, flipping him off for mocking her tone. It was a good job he hadn’t attempted the accent or their boss might find them in the middle of a stationary war or wrestling around the sound booth until Allela had successfully made him beg for mercy. “Ah, but I trained with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not only are they more skilled, but they have pizza and are way cooler.”
