His sleeves include flamingos, stars, skulls, peacock feathers, umbrellas, diamonds, an eight ball, lightning bolts, stars, cherries, women, meaningful numbers and quotes, a top hat with a moustache, roses. His knuckles say "Doll Face" with various other little tattoos decorating the area. Along with the stag and birds, his chest, abs and ribs have a portrait, "Mom", "dad", "adam", "Jay-Lee"(because he couldn't pronounce his brother's actual name, Jamie, when he'd been small), a bleeding heart with "Heartbreaker" aroundit, a Sailor Jerry style jaguar with another quote, a coffin and cobwebs, a simple compass, "Death" in Disney style writing, a paw print over a heart, "Tiger". DISLIKES: the gym, musty smells, ice in his drinks, making a mistake, having to start over, black licorice, forgetting to update his website, forgetting his sunglasses, tight hats, public restrooms, missing calls, disappointing a client
FEARS: burning to death (yes, he sees the irony), getting a phone call about his dad or brothers, the day he has to put his dog down.
SECRETS: He also crochets himself a new hat, mitten and scarf set every year for winter and then tells people it was given to him as a gift. It's not embarrassing at all and yet he won't tell people; probably because he doesn't think well of most people and would expect them to ask him for sets as well.
PERSONALITY: Magnus is a temperamental man, blaming his artistic skills for his occasional mood swings. Reality is that he's just a messy. Creative soul who thrives on chaos but only in the workshop. He needs some sort of order but so far, he's managed to keep it only in his kitchen and his office; nowhere else. And even then, it's chaotic when he's cooking. He likes mess. He can't say he's a sweet person but he is a caring man and quite loyal to the few people he calls friends. He's probably crazy but he'd rather not think about it and instead considers himself to be an open book; ask and he'll answer. It's how he was raised and it's how he'll always be. Magnus is by no means shy and would more than likely be the first to strip down and skinny dip or run down the street naked. He's also away that he can be a bit intimidating but really he's just a big, ol' goofball who enjoys his microbrews just a little too much. He can't say for certain that he's a romantic guy but his mother did instill in him the gentlemanly qualities he still possesses and considers a major asset. So he's bright enough to bring flowers and clever enough to be unique about it.MOTHER: Hailey Rask & sixty four.

HISTORY: Magnus was the last of three boys born to Hailey and Axel Rask. Hailey had worked hard at school to become a psychologist and he was just another DJ on a rock radio station. She returned home shortly after getting her degree because her father fell ill and her mother needed her help. During the first week back home, she'd gone to the local radio station and demanded a time slot. They gave her first thing in the morning; probably because they figured no one would be awake in their sleepy little town. That, or they figured anyone who was listening to the radio at that time, needed the help. Her show was a surprise smash hit and they gave her more time. Eight months into the stint her father passed away and during the two weeks she'd taken from the show, they had more calls, demanding her return and there was a major dip in their ratings. Axel was brought in three months after Hailey returned to her show. They needed another host during the afternoons when people wanted to unwind and listen to some music. He played everything though he preferred the rock music. They clashed at first, as all good romances start. Axel was loud and brash, he didn't exactly care if he hurt people's feelings with his offhanded remarks and Hailey wanted to help save the world, one person at a time. She was thoughtful and caring, taking the time to actually help the people who called in.
It wasn't long after a huge fight in the middle of the booth, whilst Hailey was on air, that they started to talk more, get to know each other. If they were going to work together, they needed to at least get along. Coffee dates worked wonders and at Christmas, Hailey invited Axel to her home for the holidays. She would have been lying if she'd said it wasn't weird having him there. It was the first Christmas without her father and things were just a little sad around there. Still, he made her mother laugh and that was what mattered to Hailey. Her feelings for him grew from there and within the year, they were married. Within the next five, they had their three boys. Hailey had been hoping for a girl but she was quite pleased with their little monsters. When they weren't in school, they were outside, playing around. Adam took an interest in the radio station, following in his parent's footsteps that way, even taking up a part time job through school as a producer. Eventually all three boys did that, with each of them even taking over their father's show at one time or another for him.
Magnus had taken to the outdoors like a fish in water. He loved it out there and never wanted to go inside for meals or bath time or bedtime. If it had been possible, he probably would have slipped away and became a mountain man. The problem was that he'd never been fond of guns, couldn't handle killing the animals, though he had no trouble at all eating them. He was more of an artistic soul, had taken to the arts quite easily though neither of his parents could draw to save their lives. He would have been content to be an artist of some capacity but an assignment in woodworking class in high school sent him away with another medium; one he actually excelled at. His father helped him chop the wood and Magnus used the tools to create burnt images. He started small, getting the feel for it all and then when he was confident, worked up incredible pieces to sell at the local shop. He would have been content with just that, earning a decent living off his artwork but his parents demanded he attend school and had even secretly applied to all sorts of art schools. He was accepted to one in New York and away he went in the fall.
Four years flew by and Magnus walked away from the school with many memories and so much knowledge. He also walked away with a couple pieces in an open gallery. He had been working on his stuff throughout the four years, his parents having helped to find him among art types so they didn't notice, or didn't mention, the smell coming from his apartment. It wasn't a huge break but it was a start. People liked his work, commissioned some more done and it kept him busy, kept him comfortable enough to buy himself a little cabin outside the city where he could work without interruptions, an easy enough commute when he needed to be in the city and then the apartment he'd had since he moved to the city, another place he could work if he really didn't want to drag himself out to the cabin. Throughout the following years, he kept busy but now that he's three years into his thirties, his mother is starting to really nag him about possibly settling down. He'd been thinking he was too old to be living the single life. He had always wanted that family atmosphere he'd had growing up, where everything was a topic of conversation and nothing was pushed aside, no matter how awkward or uncomfortable one of them at been at the time.
