She's not shared the information because she doesn't see the point in it, she's not going to ring them up and invite them to the Big Apple.
PERSONALITY: Waverly is not what anyone would expect a psychiatrist to look like or act like. She's a bit wild and not at all reserved. She's covered in tattoos and piercings and loves a good night out. She's brilliant and carefree but she does take her job quite seriously. She adores kids and wants them to have the best future ahead of them. Her own childhood was quite the mess but she's worked through her own childhood issues. Wave is a sweet woman when it comes to her patients but a bit of an outspoken one when she's off the clock. Oddly enough, she's a fairly open book, using her own experiences to lead her patients to their successes. She figures her own screwed up past helps out more than all the text books. Romance isn't something in her life and she's not actually looking for it either. She's not preoccupied with work, she enjoys her personal life as much as she loves her job. She also knows how to let loose and let her hair down, figuratively speaking anyway. If something comes her way, fantastic, if it doesn't, she's still young and still has plenty of time to find her perfect, or not so perfect match. She is definitely not above kissing a few frogs to find her Prince. Until then, she's quite happy to live her life the way she is, helping kids and potentially saving lives.MOTHER: Georgina & deceased.

HISTORY: Mason and Georgina met in college. Georgina was a pre-med student, Mason was an English major with dreams of becoming an accomplished author. They fell madly in love with each other and chose to marry before Georgie went off to medical school and her residency. It would be long and grueling hours but she wanted it. And she succeeded. She found out she was pregnant shortly after passing the last of her requirements. In fact, she found out she was pregnant before she'd even gotten her results. It thrilled her of course, but she was also so driven. Georgie ended up spending the majority of her pregnancy at the hospital, working. She was a brilliant surgeon. When Waverly was born, the relationship between Mason and Georgie was strained at the best of times. He chose to hide away in his study, writing while Georgie chose to spend her time in the sterile comforts of the hospital. Eventually Mason packed his things and left, leaving behind only a note.
Waverly had no idea what was going on. She just knew that daddy was gone and mommy worked all the time. She herself was a brilliant child and had hoped to become a doctor some day because it was really all she'd ever known. Life went off and Waverly became just a brilliant as her mother. She studied and practiced and was able to, at sixteen, what most interns were just learning. She was her mother's pride and joy, though she would have never said it. She was too driven and though Waverly should be as well so never praised her out loud. She did keep a journal however and in that, she would speak about Waverly's progress and her pride in the young, brilliant mind. Tragedy stuck when Waverly was just twenty two and interning. It started out small, little things but her colleagues noticed and Waverly noticed when she was home from school. Little things turned to bigger things and Waverly finally made the decision to take her mother to a specialist where she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Stubborn as the day is long, Georgie denied it and attempted to continue working but the chief wouldn't allow it. It progressed quickly and Waverly had to put her mother in a care home because she couldn't take care of her and continue her education. She was officially a doctor and though she could have easily taken care of her mother, she wanted the best possible care and Waverly wouldn't have been able to offer that. She passed away only a few months later and it hit Waverly hard.
Shortly after that, she transferred to New York to start fresh in a new place. She had been training to become a pediatric surgeon. She'd had a completely fucked up childhood and it took medical school for her to see that so she thought she could help save kid's lives. But when she moved away to finish off her residency in another hospital, she switched up her specialty. She had thought long and hard on it and since she'd actually liked her spin on the psych floor back at her last hospital, she decided on a new specialty. She'd been finished her residency technically and had been going for her fellowship but with her name and her skills, she was fast tracked through the psych and brought up after only a year to her fellowship which saw her becoming a full-fledged shrink within a few short years. She'd started medical school young, deciding to take college courses while she was still in high school to work up the academic ranks faster. So she was one of the youngest residences in her first run and it made her still younger than her colleagues when she finished up her psych fellowship. She wanted to be the best and enjoyed talking to the children, sorting through their troubles and helping them come to terms with all their problems.
It was about the time that she was really sinking her teeth into her new career that she got a call from a lawyer back in Vancouver. Her father had suffered a heart attack and had been rushed to hospital from his office at the university campus he'd worked on. Unfortunately it had been too late and he'd been pronounced dead on arrival. The only reason she'd gotten a phone call was because he hadn't forgotten her entirely and had made sure she was in his will, should something happen to him. Her short trip home proved to be quite the surprise. Not only did she get to see some old friends, she also got to meet her step-mother and her half sister, Paige. She hadn't kept in contact with her father so she hadn't known he'd gotten married again, that he'd had another child, she'd known nothing of her father's life. She didn't cry at the service, none of his friends had known she existed so she didn't stay long at all. She accepted what he'd wanted to give her, smiled and exchanged numbers and emails with Paige and Katherine, knowing none of them would ever use that information. Three days later, Waverly boarded another flight and returned to New York and her life there. Now at twenty-eight Waverly is enjoying her work, enjoying her nightlife and enjoying the city she called home. She's not looking for much, believing her life is pretty damn good as it was. Having a proper love life might help make it better but she's really not in a rush to get there.
