PERSONALITY: Schuyler likes to think he's a laidback sort of man but it's quite hard to see beyond the old timey wardrobe choices and the fact that he stands perfectly straight at all times. He carries himself with a hell of a lot more poise than most people his age. But, he's still a pretty fun guy to hang out with. He mixes a mean cocktail and will even add in the flourishes and spins for the hell of it. He really is a down to Earth guy just looking for a pretty thing to romance. He likes taking care of the people he calls friends and family and will continue to stay a loyal friend as long as they do. He doesn't have the time of day for people who just want to play pretend. He's not exactly a "manly" man but he's perfectly fine with that. In fact, he's quite happy with his more flamboyant nature. He does have a bit of a contrast to how he actually is and how he looks. He's got resting bitch face down to a science and uses it quite unintentionally. He's got a short attention span when it's not something he's invested in so he tends to drift a bit but he is listening, he's just well, bored. To be fair to him, not a whole lot actually grabs his attention so when it does, he tends to cling a bit more than he probably should. Still, he manages to still seem a bit… blasé. He is in fact, a bvery happy and surprisingly carefree man who does love a good party; and a good make out session!MOTHER: Shauna Docherty & sixty.

HISTORY: Mikhail and Shauna met while they'd still been young. Shauna had been fifteen and a new recruit to the dance company while Mikhail had been a guest choreographer, coming over to Belfast to show his stuff and see if the new babies could handle the pressure. Things were very professional but it turned out Shauna hadn't been built for ballet and after only a few months, she had to bow out of her role in the company. However, she'd left a mark with Mikhail and he'd sought her out a few years later, when he'd found her picture on a poster, advertising for a local music festival. She'd made a name for herself, tickling those ivories. He'd known she hadn't been made to dance to the music but he'd had no idea she'd been made to create the music he danced to. She was just barely eighteen, still a baby but so grown up thanks to the endless hours of practicing she'd done with both dance and piano. Mikhail slipped backstage after her performance with a bouquet of flowers, daisy he'd later found out she was allergic to. It led to a good laugh and grabbing a coffee after she changed out of her stage clothes and makeup.
They kept in touch over the next couple of years while both their careers exploded in ways neither of them had known possible. Mikhail proposed to Shauna up on the roof of the dance company's building, in the little garden they'd put up there to relax and unwind in; a forest in the Irish city. Mikhail had done it all up with fairy lights and fabric rose petals. He had a bucket with a bottle of champagne chilling on ice and soft music playing in the background. Shauna was obviously overwhelmed by emotions. After Mikhail's beautiful speech, which he only messed up twice with stutters, Shauna said yes and threw her arms around his neck, throwing him off balance and having both of them tumble to the ground with laughter and joy. The next few years saw them a part more than they were together but they were so happy to be married and in love that it never seemed that long. Finally, Shauna felt like she could sit back, settle down and consider that family she'd always wanted. She agreed to less performances and decided to hit up the studio more and record some new work. At thirty five, when she thought it would be too late, Schuyler was born. He was a healthy, happy baby with only a bout of colic at three months. Otherwise he'd been a good baby, loud and full of giggles but a good baby.
He showed potential young and both mother and father wanted their son to learn the arts, all of them as it appeared. Schuyler started dancing before he could walk as he tells the tale and was sitting on that piano bench long before he could even reach the keys himself. He started the violin at three and showed an affinity for it. His parents wouldn't let him stop his other activities either though so away he was at three different practices most nights of the week; even before he'd started school! Life was much the same for the next seven years. And then Shauna and Mikhail brought up a little baby girl Schuyler was supposed to call his sister. He wasn't exactly impressed since now his parents weren't always around. They had the little baby to deal with but as it turned out, Schuyler liked his solitude. He could dance, he could play and composing music was something he loved; even at a young age.
Much like his mother, he chose creating music over dancing to it, though he still danced quite a bit. He was good at it but it wasn't his favourite thing in the world. At eighteen, he went off to school to study music and went on to perform all over the world, both piano and violin. At twenty four, Schuyler decided he wanted to take a step back from the spotlight and do more creative things, like his mother. He spent a ton of time composing, recording and teaching after one of his producers asked him if he could teach his daughter the violin. Schuyler had thought about it and decided he was going to say no. And then once he was in the room with a man he called one of his closest friends, he couldn't say no outright. Instead, he said he would see what she had and they could go from there. That first meeting with Carly had been interesting and Schuyler waved goodbye to his first student after a fifty minute hour. He did his research and then offered Sammy a reasonable rate with a friendly discount, something no one else would get. That filled up most of his days while his nights were left wide open. He'd been stumbling into a cute little place by his apartment almost since the day he'd moved into the New York flat and got to know the employees and the owner quite well. His working behind the bar had actually started when he'd asked for lessons spinning the bottles. He'd been mixing his own drinks for ages, knew drink recipes by memory, he just didn't have the flair for spinning those bottles.
Iliza agreed to it and she did her job so well that she hired him on part time; pretty much whenever she was short staffed or he was bored at home and needed something to distract him. He started showing up more and more though he wasn't always behind the bar. He got along well with the group there and actually felt at home among the burlesque club. Now at twenty five, he's only been at the bartending for a few months, but he really enjoys it. And he brought in some nice tips, which he shared because he really didn't need the extra money. His days were still filled with music and his nights the same. He wants a bit of romance but he's also not actively looking for attention either. He's willing to let the world spin a few more times before he starts to worry.
