FEARS: Falling in love, finding one of her clients dead, the subway
SECRETS: Bex was told at only eighteen that it would be impossible for her to have children. She had grown up hoping for that great job, loving husband, two point four kids, dogs running around and the clapboard house with the wraparound porch with swing and that white picket fence separating the family from the rest of the world. Finding out she couldn't have kids flicked a switch in Bex and she turned into a bit of a no commitment kind of girl. Casual is all she does because she doesn’t want to tie someone down who wants kids of his own.
PERSONALITY: Bex had always been told she was curious but the truth is and she's definitely not afraid to admit it, Bex is a snoop! She's also brash, loud and unapologetic about it all. She has absolutely no filter, says whatever she wants whenever she wants and gets away with it; for the most part. She's got a dazzling smile that allows her to look like she's completely innocent, as if there were no way she could have said exactly what she said. Bex would be in some real trouble if she'd been one of those court lawyers but as it was, she has yet to see the inside of a courtroom; small miracles since her mouth could rival a sailors! The lovely Ms Maze is a truly brilliant woman but has a habit of thinking men are only interested in her because she's a looker. She secretly hates it but at the same time, she also knows how to use it to her advantage. As conniving as that sounds, there really isn't a manipulative bone in her body; at least not where her personal life is concerned. Work is entirely different and Bexley can be a shark, something she's very proud of. She is at the top of her field, junior partner already in her firm and so close to that next step of running her department, she could taste it. Romance isn't really something she's thought of, or really had in her life. Long term relationships don't last more than a couple weeks because her job gets in the way. She definitely would need someone who could handle that but so far, she's not had any luck in that part of her life. Still, she's determined and hopeful that someone will come along sooner rather than later.MOTHER: Christine Maze & fifty seven.

PETS: Killer, Pomsky of 2!

HISTORY: Bexley's life was pretty basic growing up all things considered. She lived in Chelsea, New York her entire life, she moved away only when she was accepted to Princeton and moved right back into the neighbourhood when she returned so she could attend Columbia Law school. Life was pretty damn good, really, when her parents were a surgeon at the top of his field and a model turned fashion designer genius. She had travelled the world with her mother whenever she was able to and stuck around the 34th street apartment whenever she was in school for the year with her father. Her parents were odd, even to her, they didn't quite fit but they loved each other ridiculously and Bexley and her brother were very loved and adored. Bex probably should have had one of those stupid child of a celebrity attitudes about her, assuming that because her mommy was famous, she had all these rights and things just happened for her because she snapped her fingers but that was so far from the truth. She might have attended an exceptional private school but that was about it. She played city league sports, though it was the nanny that brought her to the games and practices, she took dance lessons as she grew up and she even had a job at a little boutique when she was sixteen. The rest of the time her parents wanted her to understand nothing was free and everything came at a cost.
Having money had never really been anything for Bex, she could live without it but it definitely didn't hurt to have. She worked a part time job while she was at Princeton and kept another as a receptionist at a law firm while she finished up law school. She had wanted the experience of being in the environment before she took the bar. She had known what she was after when she first decided she wanted to be a lawyer. Though she was smart enough to take on any sort of law, entertainment law had captured her heart and it was what she had wanted to pursue; probably because it didn't just deal with one specific thing but so many aspects of law in general that she knew every day would be different. Bex didn't use her name to get her foot in the door, mostly because in the field she was after, it really wouldn't have worked but also because she wanted to prove she was good at her job. And she damn well was. Not only could she run circles for her clients, getting them the very best of the best deals, she was also down to Earth and enjoyed a cold beer with all you could eat wings and the hockey game playing in the background. She loved pub games and trivia nights, she couldn't wait for the next time her group of friends decided the karaoke bar on 5th was where they wanted to spend their night out.
She had boyfriends growing up but they were few and far between with only one of them ever lasting more than a couple months. Liam lasted two years but then they graduated from Princeton and she was heading back to New York and he was off to California to do what he was doing. Bex had never understood the whole long distance thing and felt they'd run their course. She was not a California girl. New York City was in her blood and there was no way in hell she would ever find herself calling anywhere else home. She passed the bar on her first try, something no one expected because she looked the way she did. It was something that irritated her but it was also something she took advantage of. She was stunning and thin and worked it to her advantage, throwing her intelligence in people's faces after she'd turned bored of them. It's not so much that she feels she's the smartest person in the room, it was just that she really did get bored easily and when something caught her attention, she pretty much attacked until she got all her questions answered. Currently she's fighting to be the youngest partner of her firm. All it'll take is a constant stream of top name clients who will make everyone boatloads of money and she'll have her name on the wall. As it was, she's not really in a huge hurry because at twenty five, barely out of the bar exam, she's already a junior partner. She's years ahead of where she thought she would be career wise so she can take the time to breathe and enjoy the ride she's on.
