Eli had always worked best knowing there was something waiting for him at the end of the night. Like tonight, he’d gotten his “be here or be disowned” text a little later in his shift but that still gave him something to look forward to than just sitting around his apartment painting into the wee hours of the morning. Now he’ll be drinking and dancing into the wee hours of the morning which was time well spent, even if he wasn’t finishing his next great masterpiece; he was more than okay with that. Eli held up his hands in the traditional “scout’s honour” sign, even though they both knew he’d never been in the scouts. “As much as I would love to see you show up at a bar with one, I promise I won’t leave you.” He said, unable to help himself with the cheeky grin plastered on his face. He’d learned his lesson the last time and could do without Allela actually showing up to their next night out carrying a monkey backpack harness withe a leash for a tail.
“It does, but the alcohol makes the morning after more interesting.” Eli remarked, withe a cheeky smirk. He was hardly the funniest man around but he did have the smart ass remarks down to a science and whipped them out, on a good day, without even thinking about it. He thought that was another reason he and Allela got along so well. They were too much alike in some aspects for them not to be friends. It would take a hell of a lot more than what had already been consumed for any of them to be stumbling and mumbling but once that drink had been consumed, it was going to get a hell of a lot more interesting and Eli actually hoped he wasn’t as drunk as whoever it was just to see what would unfold; no doubt because someone would be carrying another and he’d done his time carrying around the group; it would be someone else’s turn.
Eli couldn’t hold in the chuckle at seeing Rhi being dragged off by Grayson. She probably hadn’t been expecting to be carted off so early in the night for dancing, and more than likely even then she thought it would have been Allela or even himself and not this new person to her. Ah, the ways of Grayson never failed to amuse. “You are an evil psychological genius.” Eli said, lifting his beer in salute to her evil ways before taking a swig from the bottle. “The only blonde I want tonight has pink hair and is right here already.” He said, wiggling his brows suggestively. He really wasn’t able to help himself in teasing and tormenting Allela when he knew she could give it right back to them and nothing was ever really off limits because it was all meant in good fun and it was easy to remedy when things did accidentally cross that invisible line.

Despite Allela's nature of partying as much as she could, the pink haired Scottish girl was capable of being serious. She had ambitions and dreams and they were ones that needed a lot of hard work and dedication on her part if she ever wanted to succeed with them. Allela's strategy though was to have fun, work hard, and to try and find a balance between the two while she still could. She wasn't one for dreaming about what the future might hold, but there might very well be a day in her life when she couldn't go to a club just because she felt like it, or drag her friends to parties. She wanted to make sure that she got all of those things out the way while she could, just in case it one day was removed from her list of entertainment options. “I'll hold yoo t' that.” Allela said, shooting Eli a warning look. She was the kind of girl who didn't make empty threats and any of her friends could vouch for that. When she said something, she followed through with it, even at the risk of humiliating all of them. If anyone wanted a quiet life then they really ought to not befriend Allela.
“Aye it does, but it also causes yoo t' think you're the next big rockstar.” She teased, able to recount many nights when Eli started singing on the way back to wherever home was for the evening. Usually they had to shush him before they got inside a building, but it was still one of those times where Allela would hurl her usual insults and remarks. If anyone ever overhead them, they would think the girl was angry and really not impressed, when in fact it was just Allela's regular way of speaking to people. Sarcasm was how she acted in a good mood, stubborn defiance emerged when she was feeling irritated and ready to punch the people she was with. That had never happened on one of their nights out, thankfully, since Allela was fairly certain that it could only end in a jail cell and with one phone call to Ryder to come and pay her bail.
Allela only smirked when Eli laughed. She knew she had her tricks, but she figured Gray and Rhi would get along quite well once Rhi adjusted to Gray's spontaneity and sudden mannerisms. He was about as blunt as she was only twice as goofy. “I have my moments.” She said proudly, as though the whole evening was some kind of set up. In reality she had thought about a group outing like this for a while, but not everyone had been available at the same time until tonight. Glancing sideways at Eli, Allela raised her drink to her lips and then looked down, reaching out for Eli's hand and pulling him out of one of the side doors where most people slipped out for a cigarette break or to answer their phones without the music in the background. Keeping her fingers laced with Eli's, Allela's plan had already formed in her mind. She only stopped once to lean in close, teasingly whispering just a hairsbreadth away from him. “Let's find a little quiet place, just yoo an' me.” With that she tugged him along again, the water's edge creeping closer. Pulling him down a small pier, she kept up the pretence longer, keeping Eli close while she spun him around so his back was to the water. “Finally, with those two occupied, I can do what I've really wanted t' do for a long time...” She trailed off, leaning in close as she ran her hands up Eli's chest. Meeting his gaze for just a second, a smirk crossed her lips and then she pushed him as hard as she could from the end of the pier. In her mind she would hear the splash and then see the shocked, spluttering Eli re-surfacing. What Allela didn't expect was for him to take her along for the ride.

Rhiannon had never been one to turn down a party; it was how she managed to get suckered into so many of her mother’s events. For Rhi, those parties were more for her to show up in some revealing dress and have the entire crowd, gawk and gape at her. Since she was fifteen, she’d been wearing dresses that went so completely against what was expected of her. Of course, everything she did was against what was expected of her. She dyed her hair a red so bright and vibrant you couldn’t help but stare. Rhiannon didn’t do anything to keep herself in the background and the only thing she ever did that was remotely normal was changing her hair back to its natural chestnut brown. It had been too long since her hair had been any shade of normal, it was still disconcerting to see her reflection in the mirror and it be so different but she was ready for the change; although she was definitely still the same fun loving party that she always was.
It was the whole reason why she almost always agreed to go out when Allela rang. She loved the nightlife so much that it would take her being deathly ill to say no. And Rhiannon had all the time in the world to act like a responsible adult, she was only eighteen; still young enough to get away with acting stupid. And she enjoyed her nights out. They gave her the out she needed to not think about work; which after the week she’d had, was much needed. But she was also content to stand at the bar and have a couple drinks before letting the music carry her to the dance floor. This time around, she really hadn’t gotten that option but at the same time, did it really matter?
The song was good, the company was certainly interesting. She could let herself go for a couple of songs, just letting the music flow. How knew, maybe by the time she got through that first song, she might not want to leave. Rolling her eyes at her new dance partner, Rhiannon let herself go and moved to the music. She wouldn’t have any fun at all if she kept letting her mind interfere. The song changed sooner than Rhi expected to something she actually knew and liked. “Oh, I love this song!” She said, really letting herself go to the beat.

His family were at the point where they sighed just upon hearing Grayson's name. It didn't matter that he could make good grades when he applied himself, or that he was studying topics that might one day help the planet overall. However, Grayson had accepted long ago that his way of living was not what his family expected from their only son, especially not when his sister complied with their wishes and made all of their dreams come true. It wasn't something that really bothered him. Grayson knew that he was chasing his passions, he was happy with it and he knew he was doing the right thing and running down the right path. It just didn't suit everyone, but then he would never be as artistic as Eli or as musically gifted and driven as Allela. That was just the way that life worked.
However the thing he did have in common with those two of his friends was his love of music, parties and nights out that he could barely remember. He never turned one down unless he had an excellent reason to and even then it took all of his self-control. More often than not he'd agree to go “for just a while” and then wind up realising that it was 3am, he was drunk and there was an exam at 9am the following morning. How he had managed to ace the test under those circumstances had been beyond him, but he saw it as another reason to head out and hit the bars of the city with his friends in tow. Not like any of them really needed an excuse most of the time. They would all just set out and say yes the moment anyone so much as uttered a single thing related to the idea of a night out.
Grayson could be a fool at times. He knew it and so did everyone else who spent a few hours with him. He was the guy who proposed the ideas that could result in ER visits. It was him who suggested drinking that extra line of shots or mixing some horrid concoction of drink together. Most friends could blame the bucket at the side of their bed on Grayson, along with the homicidal hangover that they woke up with the following morning. The song changed and Rhiannon's pace and attitude changed as she celebrated the song she loved coming out of the speakers. Grayson grinned, pausing only to push the straw blonde hair from his face. Even when it was tied back it rarely ever stayed that way. Reaching out, he took Rhiannon's hands and winked at her, before spinning her out into the crowd and pulling her back in. There was no fun in just shuffling amongst a crowd and he felt like acting a little bit foolish. “And spin...” He instructed her, holding his arm high for her to twirl under it.
