SECRETS: Windsor was supposed to become a lawyer. She wrote all the exams and passed them all with high marks but becoming a lawyer was never her plan. She'd been doing it to prove she could. And she did so there was no need to go any further.
PERSONALITY: Windsor isn't the type of girl to give up without a fight. She's a resilient young woman but she's also a bit stubborn and very hard headed. She will do something just because someone tells her she can't do it; which is how she managed to get into Harvard Law. She's smart but she falls victim to reverse psychology too easily; something only her brother has ever figured out. Thankfully, he's also the only person she doesn't listen to anymore. Winnie is a sweet girl but she's young and still believes herself to be invincible. She has a creative spirit but wants to do so much that she's a bit of a flake as well. A quirky girl, Windsor is just as likely to squeal over something shiny as she is something with wheels. She's a tomboy who knows how to glam up and she wouldn't have it any other way. Winnie won't stand idly by while someone's being bullied or attacked either. She will jump right in and settle it herself. She may be small but she's definitely mighty! She doesn't have a temper exactly, she's usually good at keeping her head in heated situations. But there are those moments when she will get into the middle of a fight and appear like she's the angriest person in the room but it's mostly just an act. She's never really known romance so she's not entirely sure how she feels about it but she has a feeling she would react quite differently to it.MOTHER: Valentina Mercy & 60.

HISTORY:
Dalton met Valentina at school when Val was eighteen and a freshman at university in Miami. Dalton was attending the medical school and they met on campus. Both had grown up in the glamourous city and neither planned on leaving it. And ironically both had high hopes of finding themselves in the medical field. They were married only a few months before Val's move to the medical school. She wanted to be a general surgeon and it was hard work but she loved it. Dalton wanted to be a neurosurgeon which was a lot of hours and work but he was determined to get through it. Val was thinking she was overworked with little sleep and little food but her best friend suggested she take a test all the same. The lab work came back and Valentina was pregnant. The good news spread faster than Val could get to Dalton and he knew before she'd reached him. He was ecstatic of course, a little disappointed she hadn't been able to tell him but excited all the same. Two months shy of her thirty first birthday, their son was born. Val wanted a Mexican name to show they were proud of the heritage and Dalton would do anything for his wife. So their first child was named Diego. Eight years later life was good and Val surprised, properly this time, Dalton with the news that they were going to be parents again. And seven months later, Val suggested Dalton pick their little one's name. They had no idea if this child would be a boy or a girl but he chose a name he liked and thought would work with both.
Another month and Windsor Iliana Mercy was born happy, healthy and only two days early; more than ready to get going in the world. Her mother expected the children to speak Spanish and Winnie loved it. She spoke Spanish long before she spoke English, much to the dismay of her kindergarten teacher! She had learned English before she started school but she was a little devil of a child and would routinely act like she didn't speak a lick of English, just to listen to the frustration of her teachers. She did it ever year with every new teacher. She had a best friend that she taught Spanish so when they had substitute teachers, they could act like they didn't speak English together. They were nightmares. And left the teachers wondering how they managed to make it so far in school without knowing any English; especially Kristen who was the complete opposite of Windsor in the looks department. While Winnie was dark, Kristen was light; blonde hair, pale, pale skin, blue eyes, way more Norwegian than Mexican. And yet they were never questioned. It was a running joke since then. When she was ten her brother was running off to school. Not to become a doctor like their parents but to become a lawyer. And since the second he was accepted to a local law school, he acted like he was the greatest thing the family had ever seen, that Windsor herself could never get into law school.
Windsor was in high school at that point and at the top of her class with grades, she was on the field hockey team, the debate team and the student body. She worked part time at the sports store, surfed whenever she got the chance and tutored a couple of her friends in Spanish, Science and History. Being told she couldn't do something because she was a girl, because she was short and because she wasn't as smart as her brother, by her brother, just made her want to do it all and prove him wrong. She worked her ass off even more than she did, ran off to a local university to study more and when her own acceptance letters came pouring in from all over the country, she smiled, brought them over to her brother's apartment and tossed them on his desk before walking out. Every Ivy League had accepted her into their law programmes along with a few that were equally incredible on the West coast. Her parents were so proud, her brother was ridiculously pissed off that he never got those acceptance letters and Winnie took the acceptance letter from NYU and moved all the way up the East coast to attend their architecture programme. Becoming a lawyer had never been her plan. She just wanted to prove to her brother that he wasn't the smartest one in a family of smart people. She liked her arts just as much as she liked her maths and wanted to merge the pair of them.
