SEXUALITY: Straight.
STATUS: Single.
GROUP: Citizen.
GRADE: N/A.

JOB OCCUPATION: Army Ranger – Rank of Sergeant.
HAIR: Blonde, and shortish…it’s kept neat anyway. It’s just easier that way. Though he does enjoy having the chance to style it.
EYES: Hazel.
SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: He has his share, easily noticeable once he strips off, but he doesn’t tend to sit around telling tales of them unless someone asks, or it comes up.

PIERCINGS: None.
PLAY-BY: Charlie Hunnam!
LIKES: Serving, tacos, ice in all drinks, rainstorms, family, fruit cups, bowling, cars, places whose roots are firmly in New York, punctuality, night-time, poetry, cooking, honesty, Christmas, catching the sunrise, the scent of oranges, comedy movies, firm pillows, his mom’s cooking, long showers, tree houses.
DISLIKES: Burying his friends, bullies, uncontrollable kids, air conditioning, strong perfume, animal print, reality television, gossips, action movies, getting sick, hot city nights, drawn on eyebrows, social media, poor excuses, baths, sleeping in, his sister offering him advice he didn’t ask for, bees.
FEARS: Bees, drawn on eyebrows, what will happen to those he loves if he dies.
SECRETS: His love for poetry is a secret Wesley has every intention of taking to his grave.
PERSONALITY: Wesley is strong and proud. He’s a confident man who has always followed his heart and done what he thought was right. He’s family-orientated, keen on keeping in touch with his own when he’s away on tour, as well as making the most of his time with them when he’s home. There’s a sentimental side to Wesley that he mostly keeps to himself. He’s a loyal friend, always there to listen, and always open-minded enough that people will confide in him when they feel like they need to talk. He’s an honest man, almost always choosing to just tell the truth from the start. Wesley prefers to try to live his life in a way that he won’t regret later. He’s already seen and lived through enough to know that life is too short. He’s a protective man, and while he won’t start a fight, Wesley will finish one if he feels like he has to. No one hurts the people he loves, they don’t even get to come close to that. Wesley knows it’s not easy to have a relationship with him when he’s rarely in New York. He’s a loving man though, who does try to make the most of any relationship. He’s all about the flowers and the date nights to make someone feel special, like they’re the only person that matters. It’s part of his way of thinking; if something ever happened to him, he’d want the people he cares about the most to understand how much they meant to him.

HISTORY: Wesley was born into a military family. Generations of his family had served in some way or another, including his father. So, Wesley was born in New York, but he never really had a chance to know much about the place until he was a teenager. They moved around a lot because of his dad’s position in the army. It was a case of moving from base to base, but neither Wesley or his siblings complained. They understood that this was the life their family was expected to have. Wesley knew from a young age that he wanted to follow in his father’s steps and serve, too.
That didn’t stop him from doing his best though. He might not have been a kid with plans for college and a lifetime of academia, but he was still proud. He wanted to make good grades and be a son his parents could be proud of. He did his best in all walks of life, not just whichever high school classroom he found himself sitting in. It wasn’t always easy to keep a good impression as an army brat with class curriculums overlapping or missing bits here and there, and needing to make new friends every time they moved. Wesley became adept at it, and he wasn’t put off when a move meant he had to leave a crush behind, or had to give up something he was looking forward to.
Wesley enlisted with the army as soon as high school was over. He gave everything he was to serving, just like his father had done. Hector now had a position as one of the recruitment officers in New York City after an old recurring injury meant he was unfit for active duty, but he still gave everything to the army. Wesley proved himself in training, and continued to be a solid soldier when he went on his first tour. He had every intention of making his career in the army, like his father, grandfather, uncles and so on had done. He knew the family history. He knew many had served as many hadn’t. It didn’t matter if they took those steps or not, but it was good to have another generation carry on what had become something of a tradition. Justina and Shaun joked that Wesley had taken the step for all three of them, since they both took jobs in the city, keeping away from military life, though they were proud supporters of their father and brother. Wesley soon stopped staying at his parents and began staying with Justina when he was on leave. His parents downsized after they all moved out, and while they kept a room for Wesley, he told them to do something else with it, make it their own space. Justina had a room she made up for him, and he really only needed a bed. He spent most of his leave catching up with people and places in the city that he had been born in.
Wesley continued to serve in the army, eventually joining the Rangers, and earning the rank of Sergeant along the way. He saw some terrible things, lost good friends, and found himself in a bed once or twice with a few ‘scratches’, but he never wound up with any serious injuries. Sometimes people asked him why he carried on serving, when he let that girl go in the bar without giving her his number because he was flying back out in two days time, or when he grew emotional burying another friend he had known since his training days. Yes, he hoped that one day he might have a family of his own, and he wasn’t getting any younger for that, but Wesley couldn’t walk away from the military. It was in his blood and he craved the service. It was something he couldn’t put into words, and he looked at his parents, thinking about them. They had met right before Hector was due to go on tour and yet they were still married with three children and grandchildren all these years later. It gave him hope that he could have both worlds, too. One day, he might find himself handing in his papers, requesting to return to US soil permanently, but for now Wesley doesn’t see a reason why he would. He’s proud to serve in the Rangers, and he’ll continue to do so until the fates change their mind and put him on another path.
