PERSONALITY: Kade is an odd duck to say the least. He’s an intelligent man with a heart that’s always searching for answers. He is relentless in his search for answers, not stopping until he knows everything he’s looking for. He was raised to be a gentleman though he did forget that through his hormonal stages but that can really be forgiven. He’s always been the curious sort and those feelings never went away as he got older. Becoming a teacher hadn’t actually been in Kade’s plans but nevertheless, he’s found he enjoys it all the same. He’s quite a fair man though he can be quite brutal in his critique. He’s a firm believe is honesty being the best policy. He doesn’t consider it being bold or even rude but it can come across that way. He can be quite clinical, especially when discussing his work but that’s generally it. Usually Kade is a very easy-going sort who tends to let things go and just sit back and watch what happens next. And while he’s not a ladies’ man by any means, Kade is a big flirt and his good looks tend to help him out when his words fail himMOTHER: Hailey Daniels & 60.

HISTORY: Nothing ever seemed to happen in Kade’s life. It was rather idyllic. He lived on one of those streets, in one of those towns. And nothing ever seemed to go wrong. And then a little girl went missing on his street. For all intents and purposes she vanished for seven very long years. When the truth came out, all those years later, Kade was seventeen and exploring what he wanted to do when he went off to school. He’d been ten when the six-year-old girl went missing so he remembered it well enough. And since then, he’d been curious about why people do what they do. It wasn’t just a passing phase; the questions he had were cemented into his brain. Kade need all the answers to everything. It drove his parents and his sister crazy of course. They didn’t understand what the appeal of digging into why people do what they do. They were very happy hearing about it on the nightly news, the radio, reading about it in the paper and then letting it be the second it was out of their sights. Sure, like the rest of the town, they’d been out there in the surrounding woods, looking for her, or her body with no hints. Adults, Kade noticed, gave up pretty quickly when something lost their interest.
He noticed the few who didn’t give up though and recognised in them what he felt in himself. So when little Hannah Marie Rydell was found only twenty miles away, Kade became even more curious about what really made people tick. His childhood had been dull and his teenage years had been filled with mystery and unanswerable questions. And then answers came but left more questions. And Kade knew what he needed to do. So he went to school, he learned, absorbing everything like a sponge. He’d always liked puzzles and the human brain was the biggest puzzle of all for Kade. Four years later, he walked across a stage, shook hands with people and gathered his diploma. Then he packed his bags and left the very next day for New York City. He wasn’t anywhere near done learning. After another three-year programme, and tons of papers written, Kade could proudly declare himself Dr Kade Daniels.
Kade had learned so much but only a few years of it had been put to good use. He spent another year getting his teaching credits and taking on patients of his own to put to use his skills. In that time, he was also approached by the NYPD to consult. He’d gotten a degree is broad spectrum psychology so he could treat a wide variety of people. At twenty-six, he was asked to lecture at NYU and after some thought, he agreed. After that first lecture, Kade found he actually liked being in front of a classroom, sharing with young, willing minds what he knew about the subject matter. When his three-month stint was up, he approached the Dean about continuing on. There was debate and discussion as there always was and an arrangement was made. The following semester, Kade Daniels started on as another psychology professor. He’d gotten his teaching certificates more as a why the hell not rather than the assumption that he would actually use it. Now at twenty-seven, Kade is just wondering what comes next. He’d always been so focused on work and learning that everything else sort of took more of a back burner. There had been love in his life of course, but nothing that had really lasted or made an impression on him. There had never been even one girl who was burned to his memory; they all just sorted melted together in his mind and he would really love to find that one that leaves a mark.
