JOB OCCUPATION: Vice Officer.HAIR: Brown, short and swept back neat. At least that’s how it’s supposed to start out, but Atlas can often end the day with it looking a lot messier after he’s ran his fingers through it. He’ll sometimes chop it shorter, too, or just let it fall in his face when he doesn’t have time to spend on styling it.

PLAY-BY: Harry Treadaway!LIKES: Def Leppard, making an arrest, snowdrops, bottled beer, ramen noodles, autumn, mocha, chocolate, sleeping in on weekends, cleaning, dreaming about cars he’ll never afford, working vice, the smell of bakeries, family dinners, long showers, Sci-Fi movies, hiking with Thor, new socks, baseball games, ginger and orange body wash, Jurassic Park.
DISLIKES: Filling out reports, feeling exhausted, skipping meals, flies in his bedroom, jealousy, bright orange, ready meals (though he still eats them), sending something with a typo in, sensationalized stories, strawberry cheesecake, low batteries, nut brittle, cold hot drinks, juicing, people on their phones at dinner, doing the dishes.
FEARS: Losing his family, flying, chickens.
SECRETS: Sometimes he pretends to not speak English just to get out of helping tourists around the city.
PERSONALITY: Atlas is a confident man. He needs to be in his career else many of his undercover stings would not have been as successful as they were. He’s a charismatic man, who sometimes just sets out to charm and manipulate people to see if he can. He’s bold and forward and never the type to be shy about anything. He likes the simpler things, and can’t be bothered with people or relationships that are high maintenance. With his job he likes to come home or go out with people who aren’t going to cause extra drama or weigh him down with more trouble. He’s a caring man, though sometimes he hides it behind the same façade he wears on his operations and at work. He’s a smartass at times, but people seem to put up with him for it. He’s a neat man, mostly because cleaning is his own way of de-stressing at the end of a long week. Atlas understands that the world is more grey than black and white, but don’t expect him to explain that to anyone because it’s more complicated than he’d like to delve into over a beer. He’s a protective creature, who wants to keep people safe and make the city a better place. He’s more likely to warn someone before he throws a punch, and he’ll definitely let someone know when he thinks they’re in the wrong. He’s a forgetful romantic; so he’ll buy flowers and then leave them on the side when he goes out. Not that he often has time to date with his career, but Atlas does hope to find that patient lady who will answer his dreams of having a family one day.MOTHER: Stella Anne Reinfeld, 54.
FATHER: Alastair Norfolk Reinfeld, 59.
SIBLINGS: Asher Liam Reinfeld, 25.
OTHERS: N/A.
PETS: Thor, black Labrador of four!
HOMETOWN: Roanoke, Virginia.
HISTORY: Alastair and Stella met in real estate. Neither of them worked in it, but they met at an open house for an apartment both of them were interested in. In reality, Alastair worked in stocks and shares and Stella was a party planner. They met, went out for drinks and one thing turned into something else which turned into love. They ended up married a few years later and had two sons; Atlas and Asher. Atlas was the boisterous loud one who kicked cans and accidentally volleyed his football into the neighbour’s gardens, whereas Asher was quieter and often shown up by his older brother. They were actually the best of friends, but polar opposites all the same. It was a wonderful life, and a childhood full of grazes and bruises from silly mistakes and stunts that made their mother worry.
Atlas knew he wanted to be a cop from a very young age. He had an obsession with cop shows back then and would watch them over and over until he had them all memorized. He grew out of them later on, but he never let go of that dream. He was a very boyish kid, liked a school yard brawl and got into his fair share of trouble with his teachers when he spoke up at the wrong time or was caught fooling around with his friends. He made decent enough grades, but he was never going to be a professor or a scientist. Luckily, he never wanted to be. His dreams of joining the police were always there, never wavering and never slipping, even when people tried to deter him or suggested he find a back up plan to be on the safe side. He had plenty of friends growing up and was always looking out for Asher, making sure kids weren’t being mean to him, or pranking him – only Atlas could prank his little brother. He was an athletic kid at school, but after high school he became more of a fond spectator than a player. His other dreams took priority then.
In the end, he went to college in New York City where he studied criminology. He did it purely to get his parents to stop nagging him, but the moment those four years were up and he had his degree in his hand he went and enrolled to join the NYPD. He passed all their checks and tests and was prouder his first day at the precinct than he was the day he graduated from college. Atlas did all he had to do and eventually found himself working a desk in vice. He loved it. He was often thrown into undercover stings that dragged on for long periods of time, but Atlas thrived in the moment. This was everything he had wanted ever since he was a little boy. He knows it’s dangerous and a risky job, but it’s what he’s always dreamt of, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. All he’s missing now is the family, but he keeps pushing that back since he can’t find anyone who can put up with him and has the patience to tolerate his career; because he’s not giving that up for anyone.
