JOB OCCUPATION: Tour Guide for the WhitneyHAIR: Long, red hair, falling to the middle of her back. She’s used those wash out hair colours before but she likes her natural colour
EYES: Green
SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: None with a good enough story to tell.
TATTOOS: She’s got a cross on her back, it’s almost always hidden by her hair. She also has a mini version of the MC’s insignia high on her thigh. It’s only ever on display when she’s on the beach. And she has her brother’s initials together on her ankle.
PIERCINGS: Her ear lobes twice.
PLAY-BY: Katherine McNamaraLIKES: Drawing, art, nachos, dark chocolate covered almonds, Japanese curry, dumplings, scented candles, playing with makeup, people playing with her hair, shoes, leather, sour watermelon candies, sci-fi movies/shoes, comic books, football, motorcycles, charity work, sweet coffee, bikers, Sunday BBQ, bubble baths, getting to see Alexei, big trucks
DISLIKES: Being teased, people pulling her hair, her brother’s not giving her the chance to fight her own battles, Sunday drivers, people ignoring her when she’s talking to them, letting her temper get the better of her, cranky people, lines at coffee shops, vanilla ice cream, being told she can’t do something (She’s extremely rebellious), baseball, mean criticism, cats, sneaking around
FEARS: Her family going back to the old ways, returning home without a degree (The art programme was the only reason her father let her go! And she had to bring an escort!) and her brothers and father finding out she’s been secretly seeing one of the MC members. They don’t want her to become someone’s old lady but damn if she was going to leave the life completely. She couldn’t; the MC is her family, they’re all she has ever known.
SECRETS: Adelaide’s family, the local MC, The Saints Originals, were one of the worst MC’s in the county, running drugs, guns and women without a care for the law. They lived above it and took care of their own business. When Phoenix, Adele’s father, took over for his father as President, he cleaned up the clubs act and before she was born, they’d been clean a good five years.
PERSONALITY: There is definitely more than meets the eye with this feisty redhead. She knew how to ride a motorcycle before she could ride a bicycle. Stubborn as the day is long, Adele is her family’s pride and joy. She’s a sweet looking girl, coming across too innocent for words but don’t let her charming appearance fool you, she’s got a raging temper under that pale skins of hers that burns just as read as her hair. She’s a biker’s kid, the daughter of an MC President, she’s gotten into her fair share of fights but never over anything trivial. She’s got morals though her compass doesn’t exactly point due North. In fact, it’s more than a few degrees off but she only fights to stick up for a friend or someone who can’t stand up for themselves. Adele is very good at playing hard to get, her boyfriend of two years likes to call her a tease but he knows she only has eyes for him. She’s not about to cower to anyone, instead standing toe to tow with whoever it is that is telling her she can’t do something. The only thing that’s changed since she was a toddler is the fact that she’d developed an impressive potty mouth that rivals those of the men in the club that she grew up with.Still, this girl does have a hidden romantic side. Roses are not her thing, she prefers something more original than that and her love of all things artsy is what pushed her to New York in the first place where she’s trying to see if there’s more to what she wants from life or if the MC and Alexei is it.MOTHER: Holly Clearwater & Sixty.
FATHER: Phoenix Clearwater & Sixty Four.
SIBLINGS: Nathan Clearwater & Thirty One
Camden Clearwater & Twenty Six.
OTHERS: Alexei Rosewood & Twenty Six
And too many more to list from the MC
PETS: Rebel & Yorkie!
HOMETOWN: Red Bluff, California.
HISTORY: Adelaide was born after the dust settled on The Saints version of cleaning house. The MC had been one of the worst in the country and Phoenix Clearwater wasn’t interested in being the big bad biker man he looked like. He wasn’t interested in the Original’s way of doing things and he’d vowed when he took over the club he would clean their act up, turn them respectable. And that was exactly what he did. It took a long time but Nix fixed up The Saints and life after that was good. Nathan and Camden came first, born five years apart and they thought the pair of boys would be the only children Holly and Nix had but then another six years went by and Holly surprised Nix and the rest of the club with the news that she was pregnant again. A party was thrown and about eight months later, Adelaide was born, named after Nix’s mother who’d died tragically before the club had turned clean.
The name suited the small bundle of joy so well. She was just like her grandmother used to be, feisty and brilliant with a smart mouth and cheeky too innocent grin that meant she got away with just about everything she ever did because she had the whole club wrapped around her chubby little pinky finger. She grew up surrounded by the club and learning everything there was to learn about the family businesses. They ran three clubs, two bars, a hair salon, run by Holly and her best friend Jolene and a tattoo shop run by Jolene’s husband, Silas. They were a motley group of misfits who fit perfectly together. For the first fourteen years of Adele’s life, she really didn’t understand how no one else had full time body guards. One of her uncles was always around, watching out for her. If she wanted to go to the park to play with friends or whatever and her parents couldn’t take her, one of her uncles did. It was the club mentality though and Adele couldn’t say she minded it all that much. At least, not until she was a little older and there were strict rules on dating. As in she wasn’t allowed to. It never stopped her of course, instead sneaking out of the house or the clubhouse if the family was staying there that night, which happened from time to time. Her uncle Brody had the biggest fuss over her sneaking out since he was the one that was supposed to be keeping her in and she was constantly getting past him.
Nix and Holly tried to be angry with Adele but she was the only one that had ever gotten past the big, scary biker so they were more impressed than anything else. Brody was not impressed and made it known whenever he was on guard duty. She worked at the tattoo shop as a receptionist for her Uncle Silas after school and on the weekends he had it open. She spent her time doing her homework, talking to whoever happened to pop in, searching for some answers or to book an appointment. Adele loved working there and it was her uncle who gave her all her tattoos after clearing it with her father first. He was the president and nothing was allowed to happen to Adele without his say so. Her first was the cross on her back, her second was Nathan and Camden’s initials and the last, which didn’t take as long to argue as she genuinely thought it would was the MC’s insignia on her upper thigh. Her father was cranky about that one and Silas wasn’t too pleased seeing so much of his niece but she was only allowed to have that tattoo if she put it somewhere it would stay hidden; just in case.
She was pretty bad ass, being the daughter and automatic member of a biker club, plus she was the only student at the school with tattoos and a biker for an escort. After the fights that broke out with her brothers and with the kids of the MC, Adele was put into a private school. As long as the tuition was there, no one really gave a damn where Adele came from. She was twelve when Alexei showed up at the club looking to prospect. He was an old lady’s nephew and one of Camden’s friends so the decision to allow him to join the ranks was an easy one with the MC being very lenient about patching in. They may have gone clean but they still did things the traditional way. Adele liked to think she was one of the guys, she went on the charity rides with the group and was just as active as the rest of the girls and women. Time and time again, Nix would tell her she couldn’t do something but just like her momma, she turned around and did it anyway. That was how Alexei and Adele eventually became close. She’d slipped out from under Brody’s watchful eye once again and the club was on red alert. She had been invited to a friend’s year end party and had wanted to go but Nix had said no. Alexei, having been recently patched in was instructed to head out with the rest to find her and he did. The party had been a bust and he found her walking down a quiet street, her shoes in her hand. Getting close started there but nothing more than that. He was put in charge of getting her to school and home again, watching out for her and they didn’t always go straight home. Sometimes, Adele needed the library, sometimes she had a bad day and needed some retail therapy and sometimes she just wanted to go to the park and sit on the swings for a little bit.
They spoke about everything and found common ground. When she finally went through the training to get her license, she practically threw it away when the little plastic card came in the mail. Her parents surprised her with a big ass truck to match the ones in the drive of their house but they all knew it wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted two wheels and speeds so fast, blinking meant missing the world. It took another three months worth of training and two weeks of waiting for that little updated plastic card to come in and when it did she begged and pleaded with everyone to let her take their motorcycle for a spin. She had used her father’s Harley when going for the first two tests and her brother’s Ninja for the last one. In the end, her father surprised her with a sweet Harley that was every bit of his daughter’s personality. From then on, she got to drive her own Harley to school and back home again and when graduation rolled around, Adele wanted to explore, see some other part of the big wide open world.
But her parents didn’t want to let her go right away and it took two years of convincing them that she needed to get out there and experience life outside the club, to have something that was normal for everyone and not just for her and the kids of the club. They relented, with conditions. She had to take someone with her. By then she’d already been secretly, or not so secretly seeing Alexei and after making a big deal out of picking someone she gave her father options. Alexei or Brody. Brody would have been the go to but he hated New York with a passion, liked his small town and didn’t want to leave it, which left Alexei. He’d been a full member for five years, Nix trusted him, the guy’s liked him and he was Camden’s best friend. So Nix agreed, demanding daily phone calls and text messages. Adele had her suspicions that her mother knew the truth and was keeping it from her father, or maybe her father was resigned to the fact that Adele was too much like her mother and the woman she was named after and had given up on his baby girl becoming an old lady. Or maybe, if he did know, he thought that some time in a big city like New York would have her seeing life differently, wanting something else from it. Adele didn’t know but she did know that her father said she could go to school. So when September rolled around, she had her truck all packed up and she and Alexei were headed out. A twenty year old freshman was nothing out of the norm and Adele chose not to tell people where she came from, instead just saying California and letting them assume it was LA or San Francisco or somewhere people had heard of before. Almost done her freshman year now, Adele is excited to be out from under her family’s watchful but she is well aware that in three, maybe five years, she would be right back there, ready to tell her parents about her and Alexei; if a reason to tell them sooner doesn’t come up anyway.
