SECRETS: Bailey was actually named after his grandmother and had spent the first two weeks of his life dressed in pink, frilly outfits because there had been every indication that he was going to be a girl. And then he was brought into the world and he was most definitely not a girl! But there was a while before Moira felt comfortable leaving the house with two kids two and under to shop for proper clothes for Bailey. And as much as she loved her husband, she didn't trust him to pick out clothes for their children.
PERSONALITY: Bailey is by no means shy and actually prefers to live life without a shirt and occasionally pants, depending on his mood of course! He wouldn’t go so far as to say he’s a nudist, though his apartment would beg to differ. If walls could talk... Bailey is however a fun-loving guy who really hates to be stuck indoors. He’s athletic and probably works out more than he should. But he’s definitely one of those people who feel the need to be constantly in motion. He’s a smart guy but like anyone, he acts ridiculously stupid sometimes; it’s the product of an outgoing personality. He will try everything once and continues to do the things he finds he likes. Adventurous probably isn’t the right word for it, but it’s what Bailey likes to use when he suggests something. Oddly enough, he’s not big on drinking but he does love to have a good time. If that good time happens to be at a club, well, he can only be found on the dance floor. And despite the show he puts on, Bailey is a family man. He goes home for every holiday that he celebrates to be with his family and though he doesn’t act like it now, does want one of his own someday. But he’s still young and wants to romance a few girls before he settles down and starts thinking seriously about life.MOTHER: Moira & 53.

HISTORY:
Moira and Victor had talked about having children practically since the moment they met but it had never really been decided how many children they would have exactly. Moira wanted a couple at least. Being an only child, she knew it got terribly lonely and though she was spoilt rotten, she wanted her own children to understand what it meant to share. She'd only had her cousins and that was only through family gatherings so for the most part, she only ever had to share at school, where she really learned to appreciate other people. She had come from a wealthy family who expected Moira to be the best at everything but were as equally disinterested in their daughter as they were interested. Academia and sports were the things that they cared about, her having the petite frame like her mother, the quick wit of her father. When she was old enough it was boarding school for her which was fine with Moira. She really found herself away from her parents watchful eye. The English countryside was breathtaking and she found herself wishing she never had to return to Maine. Her parents didn't care much so she summered with her English friends in Spain and Greece and wintered with them skiing and sitting by a fireplace. She met Victor through one of these summer trips. He was another with a family that had more money than brains. He went to Eaton, attended all the high society events and fell head over heels for the blonde beauty from Atlanta, Georgia over the course of a single summer spent in Ibiza when they were both seventeen.
University came and went and the pair attended Oxford together. What was the point in leaving the country when neither of them wanted to. Victor would have done just about anything for Moira and Moira loved England so much there were really no words for how she felt. A feeling she only similarly held for Victor. They were married in the Hamptons, in front of family, friends and some of the richest people on the planet. Theirs was a wedding to remember, though many of their guests couldn't recall a thing after the ceremony. Alcohol was flowing freely and food couldn't get around fast enough to keep people sober enough to fake it. Three years later, just months shy of Moira's twenty seventh birthday, Charlotte was born and two years later came Bailey. Moira and Victor, A financial planner and a barrister, respectively, chose to be active in their children's lives. They wanted their kids to know they were loved and not just by the nanny they'd hired for the hours they were both at work.
The children grew up having their parents be a big part of their lives, they were there when bullies picked away at self esteem issues, when football matches were being played, Bailey couldn't remember a single match either of his parents were absent. They were always there, through all sorts of school programmes and events, sports and everything else he could think of. It was nice to know, especially considering they were both high powered people who shouldn't really have had the time to do what they did for their family. Bailey wasn't subjected to boarding school or high, nearly unobtainable demands by his parents but he was constantly striving for more from himself. He made the best grades was very active and genuinely loved working out. Being active was a big part of his life and even when he was home studying, he was in a constant state of motion. He should have continued to play football but once it was time to explore the world and figure out university, the sport moved from a priority to a hobby, one that he did keep active with, as well as rugby and lacrosse.
Bailey hadn't known what he wanted to do when he applied to colleges and universities. He had only known that he wanted to see a bit of the world while he studied. In that first year Bailey settled on his major and went pre-med. Four years later, he got a placement in a fantastic medical school which saw him and a few others fast tracking programmes, which found him and the rest of the group graduating from the school earlier at twenty four. Now he's interning at the hospital, hoping the residency will be fly by so he could apply for the fellowship he had his eye on. He couldn't figure out how it was harder to become a sports medicine doctor than it was to become a regular GP but it did and thankfully he was willing to put the work in.
