SECRETS: Despite being in past relationships, Wyatt has never been in love. He’s never had a relationship he felt could last a lifetime and the sparks have always fizzled out. He’s scared it’s something he does and that he’ll be alone forever.!
PERSONALITY: Wyatt has always been the responsible one. He’s quick to take charge and fix anything that’s gone wrong or lead a team to success. He’s fairly quiet and usually keeps to himself most of the time, choosing to neglect the wild side of life, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t find him having a drink in the bars of New York with his friends. He’s somewhat athletic, though these days it more about when he can fit it in rather than a dedicated trait. Wyatt is quite the worrier, often spending nights fretting over things that might have happened years ago or things that he can’t change. Perhaps, sometimes, he seems a little paranoid, but it’s usually a result of one of his brother’s pranks or hearing something on the grapevine. Wyatt hates the fact that he can be so gullible, but throughout his life he’s foolishly been the idiot to fall for silly jokes and bad pranks. However, he’s always been ridiculously loyal to the people in his life, even though who may treat him badly from time to time. He’s the first to help out a friend in need, regardless of the situation or what they may have done to him in the past. He’s got a good heart and has never intentionally stepped a foot out of line unless someone, like his brother, has dragged him down with him. Wyatt is an honest man and is usually wracked with guilt if he’s forced to keep secrets or lie to someone he cares about. He’s nice, sometimes a little too nice and that means that he’s prone to being treated like a doormat. However, he’s smart and tends not to waste his time with people who only want to walk all over him. He just finds it hard to cut people out of his life, especially those who once meant something to him. Wyatt hates confrontation and usually takes on the integral role of peace-keeper whenever anything dramatic happens in his life. He’s never believed that he’s ever found love beore, but Wyatt does know how to treat a woman. He’s a sweetheart and while flirting isn’t his strongest point, he does go out of his way to make his affections known. It’s the little things that count and Wyatt has always lived his life through that ideal.

HISTORY: Raymond and Tara met not long after they both graduated college. Raymond had a job working at a bank and Tara worked for a company that frequently did business with them. The first time that they met Tara was kind of aloof and didn’t really pay Raymond that much attention but he turned to her and told her that he had every intention of spending the rest of his life with her. She thought he was some arrogant jackass, but sure enough, Raymond was right and she did fall for him over the following year and a little persuasion from Raymond. A few years later they married and then a little later Tara fell pregnant with their first child.
Wyatt was born and then straight after came Tommy. Wyatt honestly can’t remember a time when his little brother wasn’t running around and getting himself into all kinds of trouble. Wyatt played the good big brother though, and always looked out for him, making sure to fix anything or tidy up any messes before their parents could find out and start scolding the children. Looking back, perhaps this is why Tommy spent so much of his life getting into trouble and then calling Wyatt to bail him out of it, but Wyatt has never held it against him.
At school, Wyatt kept mostly to himself. He was seen as one of the geekier students due to his love for the sciences. However, he also had some sway with the other kids too, since he could negotiate those school yard dramas down before teachers had to get involved. He found sports when he moved to high school, but even then he didn’t soar to the top of the social food chain. He was one of the “nice guys”. If someone fell over in the corridor then he would help pick their books up, he would be one of the first to introduce himself to a new student and he didn’t get on the wrong side of his teachers. One thing that did become a common factor was that Wyatt found himself always bailing his foolish little brother out of trouble.
Tommy seemed to have a thing for conforming to the pressures of high school and Wyatt was used to being called in the middle of the night to pick his brother up from some party he had snuck out to. There was trouble with girls, fights and getting in with the wrong crowd but each and every time Wyatt was there to bail him out and smooth over the problems Tommy caused. Eventually, Wyatt earned himself a reputation for helping people out of difficult situations and not all of them were easy fixes. He found himself in bad neighbourhoods, running from people who didn’t like him diffusing the situation and even talking to the cops on more than one occasion. It wasn’t long before Wyatt grew bored by it all and quit his sports teams, choosing to focus on his dreams of college instead, applying himself and his newly gained free time to work on projects, research theories and study the options he had for the future. He hadn’t slacked off, or broken his good grade streak, but with commitments on the field and with the hours he spent fishing Tommy and friends out of their latest adventure, he hadn’t exactly been putting in as much effort as he liked and Wyatt could do without worrying about finals on top of everything else.
The rest of school seemed to breeze on by. Wyatt took a backseat with the crowds, but they still had their respect for him for being their bailsman whenever things started looking bad. Some people thought Wyatt was stupid for risking his own clean reputation by helping the likes of troublemaker Tommy out, but Wyatt was loyal and that wasn’t something that could just be taken away from him. Finally, high school came to an end and Wyatt graduated, ready to embark on the next adventure; college.
College was a great part of Wyatt’s life. He dated a few girls, he found his dreams for his future, he still had to rush off in the middle of the night to bail Tommy out of trouble, but he got to pursue his passion for physics without anything like the high school drama to drag him from it. Four years of great memories, unbreakable friendships and challenges that Wyatt is happy to never repeat again; it all flew by and soon he was donning the gown and cap, shaking hands with the dean and graduating with the highest honours.
He spent the next few years still wandering the college campus as a research student with one of his professors, before finally accepting a job to teach university level physics in New York. At the age of twenty-six, Wyatt made the move to the city that never sleeps and taught his first class of bright eyed freshmen. Since then, three years have passed, Wyatt is comfortable in his career as a professor and he’s moving through his life making mistakes, enjoying his youth, dating girls to try and find “the one” and he’s still offering his brother sure fire ways to get out of whatever mess he’s managed to land himself in this time. Whenever he returns to Portland, it’s not uncommon for Wyatt to pick his brother up from the drunk tank or from some random street after he’s snuck out of a girl’s apartment. It might be nice for the younger Meyer to find some stability in his life, because then maybe Wyatt can find some in his own.
