SECRETS: Levi lost the hearing in his left ear when he was a freshman in university, trying to pull off a prank except he didn't get out of the way in time. He was otherwise unharmed but he did do irreparable damage to the inner ear drum, leaving him completely deaf in that ear.
PERSONALITY: Levi is, always has been and always will be a nerd. And he's quite proud of that fact. He loves just about everything one can find in a comic book and will happily share his knowledge with anyone who will listen. But that's only a small part of what makes Levi the man he is. Smart and very into science, Levi sure does know his way around a microscope but his interests weren't in tiny particles or what could be found in samples. No, his area of expertise was in Entomology; otherwise known as bugs. He had always been the curious sort, digging around in the dirt to see what he would find. He's not all about the bugs though. Levi does love to have a good time and he's a pretty fun guy to be around when he's hitting the town. A sweetheart and a perfect gentleman, Levi is quite the caring man and he's quite loyal as well. He's a little over protective of his little sister but she makes it very difficult to take care of her when she's hardly in the country! He constantly worries about her when she's not around but he's also very proud of her for chasing her dreams. He's just as quirky as his little sister but his quirks habitually come in the form of "did you know's" and not in your face like her hair. Levi had been known among his friends as being a bit of a prankster but he toned it down just as quickly as it had started with a prank gone sideways, leaving him partially deaf.MOTHER: Elizabeth (Lizzy) Janet Gallagher & fifty three

HISTORY: Though Lizzy and Harold were both British, they didn't know each other before the flight they shared to New York. Elisabeth was going to visit and cousin who had recently moved and Harold was on a business trip, representing the museum he was employed by. It took most of the flight to convince Lizzy that he had more of a paper pushing position and was not a curator like she thought he was. Not that it mattered, by the time the flight landed the pair were smitten and that was how their story began. They shared a few dates while they were both in the city and even continued the romance when they returned to England. For a while it was a long distance thing but Lizzy relocated to be closer to him in London. And then Harold was offered a liaison position between the British Museum and the Museum of Natural History New York and the pair relocated together. Before the move however, they were married surrounded by their closest friends and family so they could all be apart of the big day and then they went to start their new lives in New Jersey. Lizzy hadn't been sure about life in the big city and Harold didn't mind the commute in when he was needed at the museum. He had plenty of days where he could just work from home as well in the office he'd designed for that purpose.
Three years into a happy marriage, Lizzy gave birth to their son, Levi. A single bout of colic had the first time parents a little frazzled for a while but otherwise it was an uneventful year before they gave Levi a little sister, Edie. The siblings were close, often stealing toys from one another leading to screaming, yelling at the fights that close siblings got into only to hug it out afterwards. They were there for each other, protective of one another and for the longest time Levi thought that was how all siblings were. Levi had always been the quieter of the pair, sitting on the sidelines and watching everything. Edie was the opposite. She was loud, domineering, she hogged the spotlight and seemed like the Energizer bunny. Levi didn't mind at all. He preferred his books, going for the most part unnoticed. They were close though, shared a few hobbies and interests, video games and anime, things they could do together really, but for the rest, the pair were polar opposites.
While Edie was popular from the start, Levi had to work to gain any status that didn't include the words "Edie's big brother" outside of her group of friends. He played basketball with the school and that helped gain status of his own but he wasn't overly fond of the spotlight and tended to only see it when he was on the court; which was perfectly fine by him. Being on the basketball team however, didn't mean he was popular, it just meant he knew plenty of people. There weren't actually that many he called friends but the ones he did, were the ones that hadn't made it out of high school with that particular status. They habitually said things and though he did shut them down when he was there, there were times when he wasn't and word almost always got back to him. Even if it was by hearing about it in the hallways. Of course, up to that point, no one had said a bad thing about Edie. She was popular, she was a sweetheart and she was so outgoing that it couldn't be helped. You just had to like her. When she started to drift away from her regular group of friends, Levi first thought something serious was wrong and tended to tag along when she was going somewhere or doing something. When she opted for a museum over a football game, was when Levi really noticed a change.
He liked the change in his sister, she seemed more free to him and he was proud of her for finding herself in a world where being pretty, popular and a clone were the expected norm. High school for Levi seemed more like a Stepford place than anything else. Everyone was trying to be someone else and that had never interested him. Once high school was over for him, he continued on to university, broadening his interested and majoring in forensic entomology. Four years of coming into his own, making friends and finding himself with a surprising amount of dates for a guy studying bugs, Levi graduated with a honours in the top percent of his class and job offers from three different state labs. He took none of them, instead fighting for a position at the NYPD crime lab as an analyst. He had always loved the city when they'd take trips in growing up, he'd chosen Columbia University because it was in the city and he didn't want to leave it now that he was there. For a while, he'd been living with roommates, saving what little money he could for trips and the conventions he loved. But then Edie returned home for an extended stay. He'd figured they'd only see each other with computer calls and her visits through Christmas and the summer and he'd gotten used to that. And then she was around a lot and it was fun, however he knew his sister and knew she wouldn't be able to stay away from Egypt for long. He chuckled and got a twenty from their parents when she proved him right, asking him to move into her apartment so he could take care of her pets.
Levi was getting annoyed with his roommates anyway and felt, especially with his often odd hours, that it was getting to be too much. So he agreed and moved in over a couple weeks, taking his time to get everything ready and in place in his new room so he wasn't walking around stacked boxes and furniture to do anything. Now at twenty six, Levi is still amazed by the city he calls home. He's dating fairly regularly though none of the girls last longer than a few months before they're parting ways and Levi is left to go on about his business. He's not too upset over it. He figures if it's meant to be, they would make it work. And since the main reason for all break ups are the crazy hours he can be called in, he's starting to believe someone with equally crazy hours will be the only one who would ever understand.
