THANE VEXEN LEFEBVRE

GENDER: Male.
SEXUALITY: Straight.
STATUS: Single.
GROUP: Citizen.
GRADE: N/A
MAJOR: N/A.
JOB OCCUPATION: Horror Director.HAIR: Dark brown and often kept short and tidy – that way he can roll out of bed and run his fingers through it before leaving most days.
EYES: Blue.
SCARS/BIRTHMARKS: A small scar from his nose from an accident on set. He was walking through a scene with an actor when he smacked himself in the face with a prop and split the skin.
TATTOOS: None.
PIERCINGS: None.
PLAY-BY: Richard Armitage!LIKES: Being on set, decanters, Irish green, winter, coats, spiced lattes, his coffee machine, flirting, wrap parties, smoothies, kale, tropical fish, racing games, swearing with joy, getting his way, blackjack, comedy articles, horror movies, tangerines, dog walking, jump rope, travelling, filming on location, saunas, staying in hotels.
DISLIKES: Bad reviews, giving interviews, the press in general most of the time, hangovers, bitter lemonade, gin, demanding actors, gas cookers, back pain, strobe lighting, bad moods, running behind schedule, business meetings, not getting enough sleep, his house plants dying, hospitals, green apples.
FEARS: Gas explosions, drowning, hospitals.
SECRETS: He got drunk and slept with an actress in Milan back when he was starting out. She announced a little while later that she was pregnant and that Thane might be the father – there was also another possible father in the picture. It was months of hell not knowing and freaking out until the baby was born and a paternity test freed Thane of all responsibility. He’s ultimately relieved by it since he was in no position back then to be a father – even now he has doubts about how good he’d be.
PERSONALITY: Thane is enthusiastic and ambitious. He’s the type who believes in hard work but then will happily kick back at the end and celebrate with the rest. He’s fun loving and definitely knows how to have a good time. Athletic and healthy, Thane focuses on looking after himself as much as he can because he knows that when he’s away sometimes there can be a lot of buffet food, take out and long nights where he doesn’t get the chance to worry about himself. He’s a party guy who enjoys a good drink and knees up with the rest, though he’s never been the biggest fan of the media side of things. The media make his blood boil and any bad press he has is usually centred around them and what they’ve said or done to him. He’s got a short fuse and is easily frustrated by the little things in life – like when the carton won’t open. He’s flirtatious and cheeky at times, but when he’s not in a relationship he doesn’t see the harm in being that way. He’s not ashamed to want someone, even just temporarily.MOTHER: Catherine Janie Lefebvre, 67.
FATHER: Jonathan Ross Lefebvre, 69.
SIBLINGS: Heston Leon Lefebvre, 29.
OTHERS: N/A.
PETS: None – he doesn’t have the time.
HOMETOWN: Boise, Idaho.
HISTORY: Jonathan met Catherine when he was still at college and she was working in a small diner where most of the students went to hang out after their classes were done. He asked her out the moment she served him his coffee and while she was used to such propositions there was something different about Jonathan that made her accept. They dated for a while until Jonathan finished up school and then he proposed to her, and they were married a few months later in a small, simple ceremony. For a few years they travelled, seeing the world before they returned to Boise to settle down and focus on a family. They had two boys with Thane being the eldest, and Heston coming six years later.
Thane knew from the moment he could walk and talk that he wanted to make movies. He was always running around with a makeshift camera he had stuck together with tape and cardboard until eventually his parents bought him one of his old when he was old enough. However he was always scolded in school for not paying enough attention or scribbling ideas for something he could act out. He loved horror movies and was caught several times sneaking in at the cinema to movies he wasn’t old enough to see. His parents worried about nightmares, but Thane was fascinated by them instead and loved to know where all the ideas came from. He couldn’t write them, but he could take written ideas and make them something great. When he was a teenager he often did a lot of backstage work for school productions and the like, helping out and offering his own opinions whether they were asked of him or not.
It was a given that he would go to college to study film and media. His four years at UCLA were amazing, and he discovered more about who he was and what he wanted from life while he was there. He partied, worked hard, and met the right people to open the right doors. It meant that once he graduated he got to go straight into the film industry, though for his first year he was mostly fetching coffees and running around with messages for people from other people. In the spare time he had, he was producing shorts with college friends, working on making the small movie festivals and just getting something on his resume. Being on set was amazing, but he wanted to be sitting in the director’s chair more and more.
He got his first small break with a forty-five minute piece he did for a film festival. It was a standard horror piece based on an old urban legend. However the critics loved everything about it, and suddenly people were asking about his name. He did another low budget indie horror that year which didn’t do amazingly well, but it had a modest success which made people happy enough and put his name on something that actually made it to local movie theatres. After that he got to be the assistant director on a large scale horror flick, which led to the door opening to his own big blockbuster horror which did brilliantly for his first major movie.
After that there was no stopping him. He made his mark as a horror director, dabbled with a bit of writing but ultimately realised he was better just bossing people around. Over the years he made his mark with his movies, some flopping and some doing extremely well. He took a year out to relax after a doctor told him he was showing signs of exhaustion after a particularly gruelling filming session, during which Thane moved to New York City. He’s since returned to work, but he likes the change of pace New York offers, so keeps his apartment there as his home for when he’s not off shooting wherever he may be needed.
