HISTORY:
Kimber was adopted by Christy and Noah Vancek. They were young, and well, Christy couldn’t have kids. She was adopted alongside her actual twin brother, Jaxon. They were in the house alongside two others. Christy and Noah were always great to them. They worked a lot, but they always put family first, always getting off work to go see their kids in recitals, games, etc. Sure, the family wasn’t rich, in fact, they barely had money to pay the bills, but they were all always happy. The family kept, and is still, getting bigger with adoptions, and occasionally a foster kid, but they accept the child as a member. No questions asked.


Kimber was the quiet one who always got the best grades. Growing up, her siblings either had concerts or recitals, and she was the one who had science fairs. Her siblings were the cooler ones in the grade, and she was the one getting laughed at and picked on. Her twin stuck up for her, and so did the rest of the family, but she had a special bond with Jaxon growing up. They were the only twins of the family, and they stuck together.


Since the family had little money and a lot of people, they all had to share rooms. Three to a room, except for the ones who had two. Since Audry was older, and Kimber more her age, they roomed together, the other three girls rooming together. She would normally drone Audry out, seeing as she always complained or talked about herself. Most of the time, though, Audry locked her out of the room, causing Kimber to leave the house and go somewhere else to study. Normally she stayed outside, in the park or at the lake. She loved the outdoors, and she loved being alone

Often, she had to cover for Audry when she snuck out. She secretly wished she could be just like Audry : Fearless and popular, but she knew that would never happen. She was Kimber. The boring one. And one day, when she was fourteen, her cousin moved in with them. He lived in the basement, playing video games all day. She started going down there to hang out with him, and soon, she became really close to him, learning the world of gaming.


When she had finished her homework and studied, she’d go play games with him, teaching him some science and math calculations to beat some of them. They were close. But when her oldest brother came to visit, Carter always left until he was gone. That made Kimber rather angry at her brother. She rarely spoke to him after that, causing them to have a strained relationship.


Kimber and Jaxon started applying to boarding schools at the age of sixteen, and at the age of seventeen, Kimber got a full scholarship to Daze. She wanted Jaxon to come, and made that very clear by denying the scholarship. When this happened, her older brother stepped in, paying Jaxon’s way. Kimber was shocked, but thanked him, talking to him more now. Her and Jaxon went off to Daze, leaving their family.


Kim felt alone at Daze, seeing as she rarely saw her twin brother. But she did end up making two best friends. Cat and Bently. Cat was her closest friend, and Bently was the sweetest boy. They were all three very similar. Though, Kim was the nerdiest. During her first month at the school, she had her first kiss by a guy named Kudi. At first he insulted her, then he kissed her a few times. They never spoke after that, though Kim wanted to.


But she kept up her grades and her work. She read all the time. Eventually, Bently and Cat started dating. Kim didn't find it weird at all. She was glad, actually. They seemed to be a good couple. But then Cat moved away, leaving Bently and her to grieve. It wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. Over the next year, Bently and Kim grew closer until February rolled around.


She started receiving a rose a day, and on Valentine's Day, a rose with a note telling her to meet her secret admirer at the dance. So she did. She met him at the dance, and the admirer was Bently. She was shocked, but she loved it. They dated for a year until he went off to college. She went to Oxford for her degree, something that Bently knew she wanted in life. When she returned back to the states, she went to Tennessee for a year before finding a job in New York. She's been here ever since, teaching.
