FEARS: snakes, getting robbed at gunpoint, being stabbed
SECRETS: When Carson had been ten, he’d been bitten by a snake whilst out playing in the fields. He’d been warned not to but like all young boys, he didn’t listen and was nearly sent to hospital for his stubbornness. His older brother knew what to do and saved his life whilst his younger brother ran home for help. Naturally, he’d stumbled upon one of the few rattlesnakes the state had!
PERSONALITY: Carson is quite a stylish man but don’t let his city flare fool you, this boy is as country as one can get. He’s a polite man, his mama raised him right but he’s also got himself a bit of a potty mouth. He’s an adventurous man who isn’t afraid to do what others are. He’ll jump off a bridge if it’s an option and he’ll look damn good doing it, too. He’s got a flirty side to him as well, flashing those pearly whites to charm the ladies. Once upon a time, he’d wanted to maybe be a merchandiser for a department store but he has quite the knack for writing and thought perhaps he’d find his passion as a journalist. In the end, Carson combined the two things he adored the most and became a writing for a magazine as well as a model for menswear. It started with a Lookbook and now he’s signed to a major modeling agency from whom, incidentally, his magazine hires their models. So not only has he written in his magazine numerous entries, he’s also photographed in it as well, more than a dozen times. He’s got a sweet, there’s no doubt but Carson has his eye on the future and that future has a sign on his corner office door that reads “editor”. He wants it and it’s within his grasp. There’s just a matter of his party boy settling enough to put his brains to good work. Lucky for him, he can juggle his social life and his work life excellent, seamlessly mixing the two when the need arises. Deep down, Carson is a genuine guy but he’s also determined, stubborn and relentless in his aspirations to be more than he is.MOTHER: Cecelia Barrett & Fifty Eight.

HISTORY: Cecelia and Morgan had their children later in life, the first coming when she was thirty one and he was thirty three. Carson followed Ronnie the following year who was followed by Scott two years later and the twins, Lily and Luca two years after him. It was a bit of a mess but Celia and Morgan had gotten themselves established before they even considered bringing children into their lives. The children had good childhoods, they were all popular in their grades, they all had tons of friends all over the farmland the family owned that had been converted into their home. They turned their home into a pumpkin patch, filled with all sorts of activities through the months of September and October to keep everyone busy. It hadn’t been either of Celia’s or Morgan’s dreams or life plans but the opportunity presented itself and they answered the call. It had been hard work but they put in most of that before the children had been born. Celia, who’d gone to school to become an accountant took care of the books while born and raised farmer’s kid took care of the land, despite his English degree.
At first Celia worked for others outside of the patch, but when the children came round, she stopped taking on outside clients and just stuck with the pumpkin patch. Their pumpkin patch was a huge success and they kept adding activities and bringing in new employees. Eventually the children joined in when they were old enough, helping out with the hay rides, the carriage rides, the corn maze, all three of the haunted houses they had on the property as well as the food stands they had strategically placed throughout the grounds. When the kids were teenagers, they added a new activity; a haunted forest walk. The kids got their friends involved, promising volunteer hours for school to do it. They dressed up the forest to look like it was haunted, something out of the horror films that gave little kids nightmares as well as themselves. Their friends dressed up as witches, zombies and the like, jumping out from behind trees and out of bushes, scary the daylights out of the couples who thought it would be fun.
They all loved it and the kids of their small town couldn’t wait for the fall season to visit the local pumpkin patch because it was the best time. They stayed open after Halloween for those who wanted to make their pumpkin pie right from scratch but for the remainder of the year, the entire family worked hard coming up with new and creative ideas to bring in more visitors. Eventually though, some of the Barrett children went off to school, Carson moving to New York because he’d felt he’d become too big for his small town. He loved the place, returned every autumn for a short time to take part in the family festivities around the patch. But he wanted to explore. What it was, at least how he felt, was that he was getting too much attention being the well dressed man that he was. He wasn’t gay, a statement that had to be made because people kept calling out to him. There was nothing wrong with being gay, he was all for people doing as they pleased, loving who they please, but he personally liked the ladies; which had been obvious since he’d been small. Only Carson and Scott went out of state for school while Ronnie and the twins stayed local so they could still get home to help out around the patch.
Carson got updates but he was loving his time in New York, he had started modeling back in North Dakota, getting his friends and siblings to take pictures of the outfits he put together and posted them on the internet. He gained quite a following which was why he’d thought New York, one of the biggest fashion capital’s of the world would be the perfect place for him. As it turned out whilst he was there, his heart went in two different directions and though it took some doing, he’d been granted a double major in journalism and fashion merchandising. It wasn’t until his senior year that he realised he could combine the pair of degrees he was earning and write for a fashion magazine, putting his knowledge and innate skill to work. His internship quickly rose to a proper position within the magazine which brought up after only one short year to full fledged writer. He’s got his eyes on an editor position but he’s really in no rush to get the title printed on his office door. He can take his time getting there but he knows with his personality, he won’t wait too long to start his attack.
As well as earning money through college in a music shop, Carson signed with a well known modeling agency and quickly became one of their biggest earning male models, booking jobs all over the country and eventually the world. He had people contacting his agent to ask if he was available for photoshoots. He took all that he could and then some. Incidentally, the agency he was signed to was also the agency his magazine got all their models from and he was booked more than a dozen times to model for his own magazine which made him chuckle when he went into the shoots and people asked him why he was there because he was a writing and wasn’t needed. Eventually the stopped asking and like him, just started chuckling when he showed up for a shoot. Even now it still happens and the higher ups still haven’t seemed to figure out he was one of their writers despite the fact that he’d been with the magazine since he’d graduated four years prior!
