HISTORY:
When Annalise told Ross she was pregnant, he thought it was a joke since it was April 1st. But eight months and three weeks later, Ronnie was born. Her parents were just nineteen, and they were always breaking up and getting back together again. They lived in a small, one bedroom house that took both of them working two jobs to afford. As Ronnie grew up, the tension between her parents got worse. They acted happy in front of their little one, but as soon as she left the room or was asleep, the screaming matches would start. It got to the point to where Ross never came home while Ronnie was awake. Many nights, Ronnie was woken up by the sound of smashing objects or shouted profanities. She ignored it because she was too scared to get up and go see what was happening. In the morning, her mom would have breakfast and a hug ready for Ronnie, making sure she was fine and dandy before heading off to work.
A few months before her sixth birthday, her mom found out she was pregnant, and Ross left. That year, Ronnie didn't get much of a birthday party or presents. The only thing the young lass got was a switch in houses. Annalise couldn't afford a house on her own, so she packed Ronnie up and moved in with her parents. Ronnie loved her grandparents house. There was so much space to run around. She loved helping her grandmother out on the ranch, and she loved riding the horses. When Ronnie was six, Riley was born. Most of Ronnie's childhood was happy and carefree. She would hang out with her grandma most of the time or her mom, and she would run around on the farm with Riley.
When Ronnie was ten, she found a pond on the property, and she would go and just sit and look at the trees and listen to the sounds that nature had to offer. One day, while she was there by herself, a coyote found her and attacked her. Luckily for the tiny girl, there was a hunter and his grandson nearby. Jeremiah, to be more specific. His grandfather shot the coyote on spot, and they ran the screaming pre-teen to her grandma. They took her to the hospital, where they had to do surgery to fix her mauled arm. During the surgery, Ronnie woke up. It wasn't like how it is in the movies. She didn't feel any pain and wasn't able to move, but she could hear voices and feel things poking at her arm. That's all she remembered about it, but it was enough for her to talk to her surgeon after. To most people, it would've been scary. Ronnie was intrigued. She wanted to know more about anatomy and the human body. Which was what led her to medical school. But that's further on in the history of her.
A few months after her surgery, her mom started sleeping with a surgeon that had worked on Ronnie. His name was Dylan, and he was kind and honest, especially with Ronnie. He would sit with Ronnie and explain any questions she had about the human body. He did it in a kid friendly way so he wouldn't scare the girl. Sadly, Dylan was only in her life for a few years before he left. He promised Ronnie it wasn't about her, but that it was about her mother. That didn't make he feel any better, but she did get a new little brother out of it. Anytime Dylan came to pick up Rylan, he would take the little girls with him since he felt so attached to them.
The rest of Ronnie's childhood was pretty easy-going. She would go to the pond and sit when she needed an escape from her family or from school. When she was sixteen, the boy came back to the pond. Ronnie recognized him almost immediately, and he remembered her, too. They started hanging out more, sitting by the pond and just talking for hours. Ronnie would bring lunch one day, and he would bring dinner the next. After a few months of just hanging out, she asked him out. The two were always seen hanging out together. They would either be at the pond, Ronnie's house, or at a local hangout in their smaller town. They were blacklisted by their peers, seeing as the two of them were different than the other kids. They both had dark senses of humor, and they just didn't seem to fit in with the cowgirls and cowboys of the town. Ronnie never minded that, though. She had Jeremiah, and that was all she needed.
When she was eighteen, she found out she was pregnant. Her family wasn't surprised at all. In fact, they were expecting it to happen. After all, her mom had men in and out of the house while she was growing up. Jeremiah was supportive. He was happy to start a family with Ronnie, even if they were young. He always told her that he wanted to start a family with her, and that it was just supposed to happen sooner rather than later. They both knew it would be hard since they were both young, but they knew they could do it. Ronnie wasn't so keen on the idea at first, but as soon as she heard the heartbeat, she was in love with the baby. Jeremiah moved in with her and her family, and things were going great for them. They had the baby's nursery set up in their room and everything. But when it came time to actually have the baby, things went wrong. The chord had been wrapped around it's neck, and the doctor hadn't been able to get it free in time. So, sadly, their little one had died.
Ronnie was devastated after that. She started making rash decisions, and she started acting strange. Luckily for her, Jeremiah was by her side. He held her when she needed to break down and cry, and he even suggested that they leave the state. She agreed, and they moved to California for school. When that was done, she got a job in New York City, and they moved to New York when Ronnie was 26. They're still unpacking their tiny apartment, and they also added a new addition to their family: Bailey. Bailey was one of the dogs they were going to put down at the pound, so they swooped him up. Ronnie treats Bailey like her baby, letting him sit on her lap and snuggle.
