HISTORY:

Sloan was born in London, England to his two young, newly married parents. Less than a year later, his little sister Kensi was born. He doesn't remember much about London, just that he wants to visit it again one day. It's one of the only places he hasn't visited since he started traveling. When Sloan was three, the family moved to Georgia. Sloan's parents were prim and proper. His father was even a preacher at a local church, which meant that they had to always be on their best behavior. Sloan was always good at putting up an act for the community, but once they were home, he was a menace. He was always into everything, always climbing on things (especially trees). He was known for giving his momma a heart attack. He broke many bones while he was younger, and he had many cuts and bruises from being so rotten. 

As he grew older, he started settling down a little, putting most of his energy into school sports. He didn't want to be in them. In fact, Sloan hated sports from a young age, but his mom insisted he stayed in them. He also started questioning what his dad preached. He didn't tell his father until he was in high school that he didn't believe in everything he did. He didn't want to get a lecture or be yelled at or punished because he knew he would've been. Instead, he sat through the services and played nice with everyone. On his own time, he would meditate and be one with nature as much as he could. He believed that nature was what you needed to worship, and that if you treated the world nice, it would treat you nice back. 

While he was in high school, he was known for being the fun, outgoing one. He had many friends, and he tried to keep his grades up, though he normally struggled to get more than a B in school. His weekends were spent either covering for his little sister, camping/hiking, or out at parties himself. When the two siblings graduated, they went and traveled the world. It was something they both wanted to do, and Sloan couldn't wait to get out of the house. He always had the urge to travel and just be able to express his spirituality how he wanted instead of how his father made him. 

While Kensi went to New York to live her life, Sloan kept traveling. He traveled with his best friends and strangers. Whichever he could get to faster. When he was eighteen, he was hiking and fell down a hill and broke his leg. He had to have surgery for it, and they placed a metal rod in his leg. It took a while for him to get back on his feet, six months to be exact. Once he started walking again, he wouldn't stop. He wanted to push it as far as he could, thinking it would heal him faster. So, he moved to New York with Kensi. He knew he needed time to heal, plus he wanted to keep an eye on her. He's still recovering from his surgery, meaning he can run and jump, but it still aches sometimes, especially in the cold. Sometimes, if he walks too much, it swells and causes him pain.
