PERSONALITY: Wren is a country girl brought up in a rich world. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty and she loved to dress up. If it were up to her, she would spend every day, all day with horses and other animals. She likes people just fun but she would rather animals over them. They don’t talk back or make Wren feel like she could actually hit someone. She doesn’t have a temper that she’s aware of; or at least much of one. There have been plenty of times she’s wanted to hit people, but she’s a tough girl and can handle herself just fine. Don’t let that sweet exterior fool though, Wren is a rowdy and wild country girl at heart. She loves getting dressed up and having a damn good time at a party or club. She loves to have fun and finds too many things that fall under that category. And though she doesn’t let it show much, this cowgirl is one smart cookie, getting excellent grades in school. She definitely grew up with the “cowgirls don’t cry” mentality. Her first boyfriend broke her heart and she didn’t shed a single tear over him. Instead she threw herself into her work with probably too much focus. She’s a feisty girl with a determined personality. When she sets her mind to something, there’s really no stopping her. She can get delayed but she do whatever it is she’s planned.

HISTORY: Madison Anderson came from a wealthy family who summered in Martha’s Vineyard for the first few years of her life. Eventually the family moved into the summer house and used the other as a getaway home. An avid rider, Madison and her sister boarded their horses at a local, extremely well kept stable. Madison went often, as in everyday to the stable to take care of her horse herself, being picky about the care of her precious Gemma. It was there where she met the stable owner’s son, Brighton. She was twelve; he was fourteen when they met. A few years later, Madison was hired on at the stable to train the horses, keep up with grooming and exercise and general work. She loved it and it allowed her to spend more time at the stables, and with Brighton whom she had grown close to. Fifteen years after they first met, they were married on the land of the stables with their friends and family around. It was small for a Martha’s Vineyard area wedding but it was perfect for them.
Shortly after, they took over the stables completely and lived four years blissfully happy but ultimately incomplete. When Madison was thirty two, Brighton thirty four, they added a new member to their new family; a little girl they named Ridley. A year and barely three weeks later, they added their final addition to the family another little girl they named Wren. Both girl’s grew up with a strong sense of work ethic; it was difficult not to with them owning a stable and therefore working with the horses for hours daily. Brighton and Madison had their girls up on horses even before they could ride by themselves. And though both girls owned their own horses, Wren was far more interested in being around the big animals than Ridley ever was. By the time she was four, she was riding horses on her own. The stables boarded a Shetland pony back then and they fitted him out with a saddle and equipment for Wren to ride alone in the exercise ring.
Soon, when she was old enough, she practically demanded to be put in riding competitions. Since the stables turned a profit, with permission, using the boarded horses for lessons and classes and keeping a full staff of trainers, teachers and tutors for every way of teaching. Wren learned both English style riding and Western and she competed in both but she preferred the rodeo games; despite the location of her upbringing and how people tended to react to pretty much anything. By the time Wren was sixteen, she already had an impressive resume with shows and competitions and she was teaching beginners to ride as well as taking care of the horses and helping the vet whenever he needed to come in. There weren’t many opportunities for shows and competition on the island where she grew up, so Wren along with a few other people from the stables trailered their horses together and took road trips all over to compete. It cost a lot but it was well worth it to go home at the end of a trip and see the pride and excitement in her family’s eyes with her accomplishments.
Wren always knew she wanted to work with animals, though growing up she wasn’t sure how. If she would just simply teach lessons for everything she knew or if she would do something more specific. It wasn’t until she was a teenager that she decided which way she would go. She wanted to take care of animals in any way she could so she changed her classes in school to help her get a Veterinary sciences degree and become a vet herself. The family stables were huge and having a vet on staff would be perfect. Ridley went off to school to get herself a business degree to take care of the stables and whatever else the family decided they wanted to do. Madison, Ridley and Wren already put together a foundation to have horses available to ride for special needs kids who always wanted to learn. It was the Bell women’s pride and joy, that foundation and Ridley wanted to head it herself; which the family was more than happy to agree to. Ridley was much better with the numbers and figures of running the place than Wren could ever hope to be. She would have chosen being outside with the horses over finances any day!
Because of the money the family had, Wren was able to buy a place in New York when she was accepted to NYU for school. She wouldn’t have minded renting a place or even getting a dorm room but she had her pets to think about and aside from the three horses she owned, she wanted to bring them along with her and have space for when her parents or Ridley and her boyfriend decided to drop in for a visit. In her second year now, Wren is just trying to get through school and get through all the requirements to be of more use to the stables than just another trainer.
