PERSONALITY: At first glance, Viktoria seems cool and distant but she’s not. She’s not even shy! She is however, guarded and tends to keep people at a bit of a distance until she knows them better. It all comes from how she was teased mercilessly as a teenager. Most people would have wanted to be your friend coming from a wealthy family, but all the kids at her high school only wanted to hate on her. It made her grow a backbone, real fast. She’s quick totemper and though fights aren’t her thing, she is usually more than willing to get into one for a good cause. She’s a smart cookie, with plenty of drive and ambition to get what she wants. And once people get to know her, they realise she’s a caring, nice girl with a charismatic smile. Viktoria is stubborn to the core and worries more about saving the ocean than finding love. She is very much the environmentalist, wanting to save the planet, and more importantly, Nemo and Dory. As a dancer from infancy, Tori is exceptionally graceful, like a cat, which not so coincidentally is her brother’s nickname for her. She’s a flexible girl, both on the dance floor and in life. HISTORY: Career oriented, Jasmine Trethaway had no plans of settling down with children. She was an excellent thoracic surgeon, the best at her hospital. She didn’t have time for dinner most nights, forget a relationship. But at twenty-eight and already one of the best, she attended a dinner to raise funds for the hospital; they were in need of some new equipment and since her position in the hospitals ranks was already so high, she was asked to attend and speak. She agreed easily enough. She expected some glitz, some glamour, a good meal and she hoped for some good conversation. What she didn’t expect was meeting a charming business man at the dinner. Mason Carmichael Cross the third had a very privileged upbringing, he wanted for nothing. He went to the best schools, drove the best cars. But when his father, an otherwise healthy man, died at forty-eight of an unknown heart condition, a then twenty-six year old Mason had to grow up fast. As he was the sole heir, he took over the business.
Four years later, he found the one thing his family money couldn’t buy him; Jasmine. It took a lot to get her to agree to a date with him, but eventually she agreed and two years later, they were married with their first child; a boy they named Mason the fourth. Two years from that, they welcomed another child, a girl this time they named Viktoria and another daughter after her. The children were raised to know the value of a dollar, of hard work and a strong work ethic. Mason and Tori understood that you couldn’t get anywhere in life without dedication and hard work, but Ana didn’t have the same care. Being the baby, she pretty much got whatever she wanted, while the others at least tried to do it themselves before asking their parents.
Each of the children was into activities to keep them busy and not around the small island the family’s home was on; Cronin Island. Tori took to all sorts of dance classes and surfing. Through high school, Tori found herself on the receiving end of vicious words. For the most part, she was good with them, just letting the words slide away but there were times when she found herself in a fight because those words hit a nerve. She managed to get through those years without much fuss and decided she couldn’t be in Australia for a while. She loved the country, still does, but she needed to get away from those memories. So she packed her bags and chose a school in New York to attend, taking a double major in dance and Marine Biology. She had always wanted to be a dancer, but she also understood the need to have a backup plan. So she chose Marine Biology, her love of the sea and all its creatures winning out. Living in New York has been fun for her, having met new people and found new places to explore. And she adopted a dog to keep her company.
