well hello there I'M JACKI NICE TO MEET YOU Jacki had just got out of her second class of the day, she was feeling energized and ready to finish the rest of her day. Unlike most people who are already tired and ready to go back to their homes and sleep for a year, she could tell from all the dead eyes and poorly postured people walking around. Well, Jacki wasn't going to let every other gloomy person her her down. Today was a nice day for her. Jacki had about thirty minutes until her next class, so she decided she would go hang out in in atrium, maybe she would see some friends, or maybe she would make some friends. Who knew. So she started on her way to the atrium, without a care in the world. Jacki had on a short sleeve white crop top, with a care of blue jeans with a white belt on, and a pair of white and light blue jordans. It was just a everyday outfit for her, as well as her black and white cat ears that sat small on her head, giving off her innocent little look, that she is widely known for. Her hair was all up in a high ponytail, when her hair was like this, it was so clearly visable of her dark to light brown ombre hair, that she valued so much. Once Jacki got to the atrium, she looked around, for someone she knew, or for someone that was alone, who she could go up to and have a conversation with. Everyone needs a little love. Her light brown eyes scanned the area, looking for her target. | SEE YAH LATER @ open |

Morning classes required a Venti Vanilla Latte and a sugary doughnut. Elektra didn’t know if she could make it through that first hour of college without the combination of caffeine and sugar. Today was one of those mornings. Elektra sat through an hour of a lecture about the Gothic element of Dracula, filling three sides of her notebook with detailed notes comprised of what the professor had to say. After that she followed the rest of her senior classmates out of the lecture theatre and headed towards the Atrium of the university campus. The awful thing about her timetable this year was that after this class her next wasn’t until four o’clock. Thankfully she filled four hours from noon with a shift at the campus store where she was supervisor. Elektra got to put in the hours there between classes a few times during the week and on Saturday afternoons where she often got to cater to the families of students, selling them NYU merchandise and smiling as they gushed about how proud they were of their son or daughter.
Before that though, the young blonde had two hours to kill, and since it was too early to consider eating the small lunch she had packed into her bag, she figured she would scout out a spot in the atrium and curl up with a book. The library might seem like a more obvious choice for the bookworm, but Elektra knew she was prone to losing track of time when she was settled between the stacks, lost between the pages of a good novel. The atrium was by far a safer place for her to be with its busier atmosphere and the people constantly passing through. It would stop her from slipping too far into her thoughts, and the fantasy world that she would be pulled into with the latest book that was tucked inside her bag. So many people questioned her about how an English Literature major could read for pleasure when she was inundated weekly with novels and secondary texts for classes, but Elektra couldn’t get enough even if she had her own personal library. Her apartment was already full of shelves, overflowing with books and tomes that she had collected over the years.
Dropping her bag to the floor and settling down on one of the long red couches, Elektra shrugged off her coat and folded it neatly by her side. She didn’t want to take up too much room in case another student wanted to sit down. She reached into her bag, only to sigh in frustration when she realised that she had forgotten the book she was so keen to read. The memory came back to her of reading it in bed the night before, but she had no recollection of picking it up that morning and slipping it in with the college work she had packed away. The downside to early starts was that Elektra was often in a zombie state before she left her apartment and paid the price for it later in the day; like now. Slumping back against the back of the couch, she frowned. There was schoolwork she could do, she supposed, but where was the fun in that?
