To ensure that wanted ads aren’t neglected, when you accept an ad there will be a one week allowance for you to make that character’s app. It’s a fair enough time period, but there are obvious exceptions to the rule. If you’ve posted in the absence board or if you’re plotting details with the original poster, to name but a few. After one whole week the original poster has the right to re-open their ad for someone else to claim if there has been no contact or if they genuinely feel as though they have been left hanging, or the person hasn't logged in at all during this time without reason. While staff will do their best to ensure that no bitterness or drama happens from this, the decision at the end of the day comes from the original poster since it is after all their request. However, to make sure that no fighting takes place there are a few further tidbits to keep this from getting out of hand. We know you’re all a lovely bunch so nothing horrid should kick off, but formalities and all that jazz…
If you want to re-open your wanted ad the guidelines are as follows:
• It must have been one week since any communication with the person who claimed the ad. This includes any work or edits on a WIP app.
• PM a staff member to delete any previous posts/move the thread. If you like, they will also PM the person who is no longer responsible for making the character to let them know what has happened and why.
Of course all of this should only be done if contacting the member yourself has resulted in nada. We all get busy sometimes and life has a pesky habit of getting in the way when we least want it to. Think of this maybe as a last resort rather than a general rule, but it’s still here just to keep things fair in love and roleplay!
