Thea loved the Font Bar. She could spend all her time there and never get bored of the place. It held quite a bit of her favourite things, music to listen to, people to watch and alcohol to drink, what more could a girl like Thea ask for? She could write her entire thesis on the patrons of the bar and get her doctorate degree without question. The patrons ranged so much that it honestly felt like there was a new issue or problem every single time she walked through the door coming from the patron's themselves! The bar staff had their issues just like anyone else, but at least those were usually the same ones day in and day out. Tonight was going to be a busier night with it being Friday and an open mic thing. But Thea loved those nights. Not only did she usually walk away with enough tips for a pair of overpriced designer pumps, she genuinely loved the place. It wouldn't have mattered to the kiwi if she got tips or not, working at that place gave her enough materials for her essays, assignments and projects that it was completely worth it.
The night hadn't started yet though, the staff still had some time before those doors would really open and the bouncers would start letting people trickle in. And then the fun would really begin. But until then there was joking around to do and bars to stock. Thea had her own set up going and she loved that she had her own station. It might have been in the back and it might have been the smaller but it was still always packed and she was always pulling tips and numbers. Her parents would probably throw a fit if they knew she wore a vest a size too small over a neon bandeau bra, a pair of tight leather pants and a pair of heels some men wished they could live up to but she loved her job. And she wasn't about to change that for anything less then a record deal with The Forged.
She was nearly done with her work before the doors opened but she had one problem that she couldn't solve on her own because her boss would yell at her. She was the smallest person on staff, even on heels she was still shorter than Bailey, which meant she couldn't reach the top shelf without help. Yet another reason she was stationed at the furthest bar from the stage. She still had a near perfect view and the sound at the back was incredible but she needed to be close to the office in case she needed help with some of the top shelf liquor. Geoff kept close through the night just in case, which Thea appreciated. There was a little step ladder kept back there for her but she hated using it. If Geoff wouldn't find out, she would climb the shelf like a monkey but he always seemed to step out of the office at the exact perfect time, catching her each and every time she was about to pull herself up onto the counter. She never apologised for getting caught but she did at least have the intelligence to look flustered. "G!" Thea called, looking up at the top shelf of her bar.She preferred having a few bottles of the good stuff hidden away under the counter just in case. That way she didn't have to climb the ladder or call for her boss. "I need some bottles again." She added, knowing he would probably be sitting at his desk and heaving a sigh because she was interrupting some sort of paperwork without a good reason for it.
