Time for the boring bits, I know, but they are here for a reason and hopefully we won't have to send in the dragons to deal with any troublemakers. Fairly straightforward and I'm sure you've heard them all before. If you do have any questions though, just PM a staff member!
1. Respect. Obviously your characters are free to be as hateful as they like to each other, but OOC is a different story. You're not going to be best friends with everyone, but as admins we won't tolerate any hate bashing of any kind in real life towards our members.
2. You all probably know the general "nobody is perfect" rule, well that applies here. By all means let them think that they're perfect, but unless they are actually a Disney princess then it just ain't happening. When you post your completed app, please make sure it's titled correctly. LAST NAME, First Middle (if they have a middle name). It just keeps everything looking tidy in the accepted boards. Also, do not fear the app (or the reaper), it's there to help you and others! Once you're accepted make sure that your display name is that of your character's full name.
3. Proboards is strictly PG-13, and so are we; even after sundown. Fade to black, skip ahead, do whatever it takes to comply with this. We don't want the site we've put hours of work into getting closed down. If something is deemed too explicit then you'll have 24 hours to edit, or the entire thread will be deleted. Sorry, but it's just not worth it!
4. We do have it set to keep the graphics on everything within the boundaries of the site, but if all signatures could be a maximum of 450x400 then that would be great! If you need a hand with graphics then we can help out, and I promise we won't bite. Avatars are also 125x200 standard size! (Rule words: New York never sleeps!) Also, make sure your avatar and signature are actually of your character, otherwise what is the point? We like puppies and kittens as much as the next person, but again, it just keeps the site looking nice and tidy. Ideally, your FC is eighteen plus, and famous enough that you're not just stealing random photos of people who like to play in front of a camera.
5. Typical RP etiquette as always, please. This is a third person narrative site. Everyone makes spelling mistakes from time to time, but not all of us like to say wuu2! We don't have a set word-count, but obviously do what you can and try to be fair with your thread partner! Compromise is the key to a happy marriage!
6. Bloody well have fun! Obviously it's the reason we're all here and we all want to enjoy the site without having to get on anyone's back about anything listed here.
Enjoy New York City!
