PERSONALITY: Aisling is a sweet girl with a bit of a naive heart in her. She wants to believe in the best of people but that’s not always the case; which is why she’s so fearful of being in the city alone. She knows no one and finds herself too often very lonely but she’s extremely determined and very driven to make something of herself and prove to herself and everyone else that she can do what she’s stubbornly set out to do. She cares way too much about people but it had been how she’d been raised and her siblings are the exact same way. The difference is that they know the people they’re surrounded by, whilst Aisling doesn’t know a soul. She is however, an energetic ball of Scottish sarcasm and witty retorts. As a dancer she’s very graceful and brings that outside of the dance classes and mirrored halls no matter the situation. It may come as a surprise but Aisling is quite the smart young girl. She’s a double major but while the one may be dance, the other is actually physics! A loyal friend, Aisling will stand up for the people she thinks deserve it most and those people are generally the ones she also calls friends. Though she wishes she had a couple more than the none she has now.MOTHER: Nancy Wood & forty eight.

HISTORY: Born and raised in Arbroath, Scotland, Nancy worked in the family bakery from the time she could. And this was where she’d first been introduced to Connor. He’d been visiting his grandparents over a summer when he’d gone into the shop with his gran. Nancy had been at the counter that day and got to talking to the sweet older woman and was introduced to her very cute and very charming grandson. After that, they were sort of thrown together whenever Nancy wasn’t at the shop and they got to know each other. Of course, Nancy had thought after the summer, he would forget all about her. But he kept up correspondence through out the school year and returned the following summer. They kept this up until college came round and Nancy really thought they’d said their final goodbyes. She was off to Oxford to study chemistry, she was a science whiz under all the flour she sported and Connor had been off to another school to get himself his English degree. He had a love of books and wanted to become a teacher to enrich the next generations.
They came together after college as they both found themselves in Arbroath once again. Chemistry whiz or not, Nancy’s heart was in the bakery and returned to it whilst Connor found a position at a local school, teaching English. It was probably a fairly obvious route for someone with an English degree but it had been what Connor had always wanted. He was an unorthodox teacher with unusual teaching methods but his students learned and loved it all. He was a very good teacher. And after a couple years of constantly missing each other on the streets, Nancy and Connor ran into each other at one of the city’s heritage celebrations. From then, it was a rocket relationship, everything moved so quickly. They moved in together after only four weeks, Connor proposed three months after that and before they could finish off twelve months, they were married at a small ceremony with just their families in attendance.
It was sweet, it was simple and they always joked that they’d known they were perfect for each other all those years beforehand. They’d just needed to find themselves and then find each other once again; which is exactly what they did. At twenty seven, their first child was born, a daughter followed a year later by their only son and a year almost to the day another daughter. All the children had names that started with A but it hadn’t been intentional and quickly became a running joke in the household. Any and all pets had an “A” name and the jokes continued on. They children had a good childhood. They were loved and cared for, there was always food on the table, they always had clean clothes and they had a roof over their heads. They’d been raised to fight for those who couldn’t fight for themselves and to give back at every opportunity. So it made perfect sense that Agatha chose to find a career in law while Aaron would eventually study to become a social worker. Aisling was the odd duck out. She was a bit of a flake as a child, skipping and dancing off with the butterflies in the meadows and fields.
Immediately, her parents put her in dance classes, all sorts because they didn’t know what she’d like best and she continued them all through until the day she’d left Scotland for school. But only long enough to get through the move and find the proper studios to register for classes in the city. She also had her mother’s brains and wanted to put them to good use. She liked physics quite a bit and thought there could be something in that somewhere. If not, she could always become a science teacher, based specifically in physics and go from there. She was the product of not one but both of her parents after all. Aisling studied very hard and was accepted to schools all over but she’d had an itch that could only be scratched by travel. So she chose a school in Scotland that had an exchange programme and after a year of schooling in her home country, Aisling packed up and moved to the other side of the world to study both physics and dance because she hadn’t been able to settle at the time and even now she couldn’t. She wanted them both so she was pursuing both. She found a job she knew she could do and one she enjoyed and spent nearly the rest of her time studying her textbooks and learning the routines she would need for her dance classes all whilst taking outside dance classes to keep herself sharp.
